Right. This is by far the best steak place we have been to. The food is not only excellent and prepared with the level of detail that is the epitome of Japanese quality but all it comes with ninja theme.
I won’t say anything to spoil the surprise but I’d strongly recommend going and enjoy every second of it.
Great evening and our kids loved it

The moment we arrived @the entrance, with a very special welcome by the Ninja team, we realised that this was going to be a unique and unforgettable experience. The ride through the dark labyrinth before having access to the restaurant itself was full of surprises and added to the mysterious atmosphere that was deliberately created. The team was very welcoming and professional. We enjoyed our dinner (we chose the Yamato Spirit and Hanzou menus) and we loved tasting every food served. It was one of the most delicious Japanese food that we tasted during our three-week trip in Japan. It was worth the high price asked from the clients. We had an interesting interaction with the Master Ninja and even got a precious souvenir from him as a result of his many tricky performances. Ms Sakura, our waitress was a very kind and professional lady and was interested in knowing more about our country. This was an experience that we will never forget and that we highly recommend.

I went with my family, and we got the private room, which someone recommended to us. We were led through some ninja training-grounds and over a bridge adorned with torches to our special private room with a low table. Our courses were brought out one at a time, and they were all delicious. Before dessert, our host performed for us, doing a few card tricks with razzle dazzle. My dad was the "King", my mom the Queen, our friend Jack and I was called "Princess" (Ohime-sama). After we were all thoroughly dazzled and buttered up, our desserts came out. I had a delightful cheesecake in the shape of a snow frog, which brought to mind a Japanese children's song, the Frig Choir (Kaeru Gassho). I sang it for our waitress, and she seemed delighted that I knew the tune. After singing along with me a little, we enjoyed our desserts and geared up to leave. I didn't want to, but we had to return to our apartment. As we left, we were followed by a few of the employees, who then presented a scroll that said "Please come again!" in Japanese writing.
Needless to say, I am looking forward to y next visit.

We dined here as a family of 5 (children 12yr, 14yr and 16yr). We found the meal to be one of the best we had in Tokyo and we enjoyed the overall experience. I couldn't fault the food, even the sushi outstanding, however you do need to be adventurous dining here so it may not suit everyone's taste. I did expect there to be a little more magic but the show that Master Ninja performed at our table was VERY good. This is NOT an affordable experience for most families, but I new this and it was our special family treat in Tokyo. P.S. please make sure your child has clean feet! I apologise for my son's feet that stunk as you do need to remove your shoes for the sit down dining. I now understand the reason the Ninja waiters wear masks!

I saw this restaurant on a japanese travel programme long ago and glad that finally got it ticked during my trip to Tokyo this time. I love how they greet you before you enter the restaurant, food was also much better than thought, the entertainment was fun and engaging too. The finale was also awesome as a surprise haha. Worth going if you have never been. And highly recommend to family with kids!

I am sorry but this is going to be a negative review.
First of all, both our waiter and the master ninja (who performed the magic tricks at the end) were seemingly sick with coughs and running noses. This is a big red flag for a restaurant in my opinion.
Second, the food isn't tasty at all. To be honest we didn't have high expectations but this is hands down the worst "fine dining" meal we've ever had during our 10+ trips to Japan.
Third, we've been to Ninja NYC before so we knew what to expect. While the restaurant's decoration was cool, the presentation of the food was unimpressive. Only two of the dishes involved some sort of "ninja" effect (dry ice and fire). I remember at Ninja NYC every single dish was impressively presented. After all, this is why we pay the premium to eat here, right?
The best part of the meal was when the master ninja came to perform a couple of magic tricks. Kids loved it. But as mentioned before, the master ninja was seemingly sick.
Not worth the price and will not return.

This review is from the perspective of an American family with kids 8 and 10: we wanted to love this restaurant and booked it 6 weeks prior. The entrance was amazing and the dark narrow walk to our dining space had some cool features ( I will not ruin any surprises!). But that is where the good comments all end.
We did not enjoy the cuisine at all. The black bread and black ninja star crackers seemed gimmicky and were unappetizing. The children didn’t like their meals and sadly, neither did we.
But this may also be a Japanese/American taste bud issue. Even though the meat was also of poor quality- either overly rough with tendons or super fatty and you would bite into squishy fat of the meat ( they served one small piece of each).
The ninja master came in and did a few coin and card tricks that weren’t nearly as impressive of tricks we witnessed back home at a three year old’s birthday party.
We paid $60 for a special dessert- but by the end of all of this we just wanted to get back to our hotel.
We spent over $400 USD for this unpleasant experience. This is just our opinion- but if it helps save another family of perhaps similar circumstances, then I hope this review will do just that.
I don’t normally like to leave bad reviews, but please save your money if you are in a similar background as us.

I wasn't altogether keen on the idea of a themed restaurant which I though might be more style over substance. In fairness, this restaurant had equal quantities of both. From the moment of our arrival and way we were brought to our table, right up to our final goodbye our hosts ensured that we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. None of this was let down by the food and we both enjoyed everything we were served. This was entertaining and more importantly a delicious way to spend an evening in Akasaka!

We had a great night here. The place is themed from the time you ring the door bell. You are immersed in the experience the entire time and you receive a completely private dining experience. Having your own room and private Ninja waiter is great. The food whilst themed is fantastic dining quality. Would highly recommend visiting and we would even go again.

I live in japan but tend to avoid the tourist trap restaurants they have. Because its usually overpriced/low quality. But NOT THIS ONE 😁 the food was Absolutely amazing and not something youll see often. Staff were kind and very knowledgable about dishes, and the ninja atmosphere was something new! Id say this restaurant is the whole package, great food, great service, great entertainment and atmosphere.

Overpriced, very shallow on the entertainment factor, and difficult to find. Feels like previous reviews were for a restaurant under different ownership. The big ninja “ta-da” as of February 5, 2024 was nothing more than card tricks with sleight of hand. Food was quite good but a party of two adults and two kids for 350 usd feels way overpriced.

Good experience but was expecting amazing for the price as a family of 6. Service was extremely good. Some food was unusual and therefore you would either like or not, we upsized the beef so got a great serve that was well cooked by the chef, served with a potato and asparagus. Coming for Australia, I guess it was steak and potato… standard meal here. Glad to have done it but could just have easily given it a miss in lieu of a meal in Shibuya served by local Japanese.

This was such a fun experience. The cast of the restaurant really put their all into the theme, and it was incredibly impressive that they could easily switch between multiple languages to perform their narrative for guests from different countries.
Food was excellent. I see some reviews say that the meat was fatty so it was poor quality - Waygu beef is extremely tender and more marbled than a typical steak from the grocery store. The dishes were creative without being cheesy, and it was nice to have a fine dining experience that didn’t take itself so seriously.

Our family was very happy with our visit! The food is great and as these reviews often mention, not at all like in most theme restaurants but actually really good, a bit adventurous and very tasty. The beef was just stunning. Also my kid (8y) loved his menu and ate everything.
As for the theme, it was an extremely fun experience. There was some ninja tricks, mystery and magic in everything, and we found it all very entertaining. Especially the kid enjoyed it, but the parents did too (very much so!), and we thought that it would have been fun also without the kid.
