It may have been the jet-lag, or perhaps my poor arithmetic, but my consideration of the menu prices in yen miscalculated the cost of the meal by a factor of ten ! It was worth it, though. We were treated to a culinary feast accompanied by fine wine in a stylish settting with superb service. One of the best meals... More

I ate some fantastic food during my week in Japan....but this restaurant was definitely the winner. The service, presentation, quality and flavour of the dishes was just fantastic. Will definitely be back here again on my next visit to Japan!

I stopped in here for lunch while waiting on the limousine bus. The sushi was delicious and fresh. The chef was pleasant, kind, and understanding. He indicated which pieces of sushi required only a tiny dab of soy sauce and which ones required none. It was a pleasant and peaceful dining experience.

The Japanese restaurant Yugyoan Tankuma Kitamise in the Tokyo Dome Hotel (next to the Giants Stadium) features individual tempura, teppan and sushi restaurants. All are high level but the one that stands out for me is the Kiyomizu sushi restaurant. Located on the 4th floor, Kiyomizu is very traditional which suits me, no fusion sushi served here but high quality... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this day, and there are long-standing restaurants with geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.
