Enjoyed a wine tour excursion bought through our hotel and Botega Alvaro was one of the stops. Wonderful experience! This was our first wine tasting tour and we had a blast. Nice souvenir shop with Ron Miel tasting, might of went a little overboard with the tasting. Let's say it was very good! This was our lunch spot with several... More

Visited Tacoronte and the Bodega Alvaro to have a wine tasting. The white and red wines were not to my taste but the cava was really nice (took a second glass too). The shop and tasting are are covered with bottles and the outlook is quite interesting and nice. Wine can be purchased and some other stuff too, like some... More

We visited Bodega Alvaro on a shore excursion from a cruise ship. We were on Tenerife all day and reached the wine-cellar after a trip over the mountains. Our welcome was great. We were offered samples of several kinds of wine which we imbibed in between enjoying local meat slices, cheese, hot Canarian potatoes dipped in sauce. The long cellar... More

I've never seen a place like this before. A soon as we came in we were impressed by the huge amount of old vintage bottles coming from all around the world. The typical canary food they served was delicious, the '' carne fiesta'' was amazing... Wine was great, perfectly matching with the food.. The staff and the service was quick... More

If you visit Tenerife you will see leaflets dotted about offering Miller tours to various places for 12 to 15 euros including lunch. Very cheap you might say? Well yes theres no such thing as a cheap lunch. We were picked up from our hotel by scheduled coach and taken to an industrial type place where we were ushered upstairs... More

Interesting bodega (downstairs), upstairs just tables and chairs. Tapas and Moscatel ok, I didn't like the wine very much.

Whilst wandering around Los Cristianos and many of the other resorts you cannot fail to see the many leaflets that are festooned around the streets offering very cheap tours, usually around €12 to €15. You can go on an island tour, boat trip, wine lodge etc and the price includes coach transport and usually a free lunch. Now of course... More

We had a most enjoyable visit to Bodega Alvaro. This stop was part of a shore excursion of Tenerife. We found the very good tapas and boiled small potatoes to be a good accompaniment the the local wines. We found the wines to be of average quality. The tour bus mood improvement dramatically (read happy bus) after we visited this... More

We visited Bidegas Alvaro on a land exclusion tour from a cruise ship. There were three or four bus loads of people. We filed into a long room with barrels for tables and stood around the barrels to sample wines and food, the food consisted of bread, processed meats, like salami, and potatoes. The walls in te room were lined, floor... More

We had lunch here 'courtesy' of an organisation called Miller Travel, who subsidise trips involving two hours or more of hard sell, where you are subjected to talk about some bedding with dubious features, and an offer to buy the lot for 1,400 Euros. As a part of this trip you are then taken to Bodega Alvaro to have a... More
