First, the food is good. Products are of good quality and the Chef knows how to cook. But, this is absolutely not what I expect from a 1* and more than 215€ spent for the dinner (2 starters, 2 mains, 2 deserts and 1 glass of wine): - Absolutely no surprises in the tastes. Truffles here and truffles there: it... More

My wife and I arrived in San Sebastian for two nights, hoping to dine at some of the famous restaurants about which we had heard for years, Unfortunately, we were there on a Sunday and Monday, when many of the well known restaurants are closed. Our concierge recommended Zuberoa, and it turned out to be a great choice. The restaurant... More

Zuberoa was absolutely the best meal we had in San Sebastian and, in fact, better than many I've experienced at other Michelin star restaurants around the world. The risotto with foie was to die for....and I still have dreams about the almond suffle. The wine list was extensive, but also reasonably priced for this caliber of restaurant. The chef was... More

This restaurant serves very good food and has a wine cellar dating back a century with very fairly priced old Riojas and wines from Spain's many enological regions. Want to drink a bottle from the 1920's--no problem--which year? Further, the prices are a fraction of what one would pay in France for comparatively aged Bordeaux.

Came for lunch and ordered from the a la carte menu which had a number of foie gras and lobster items. I ordered the foie risotto and grilled lobster but also sampled the 2 lobster appetizers and the foie gras main course which were muy delicioso! We were seated on the terrace which had a peaceful setting. Definitely a meal... More

We had an excellent meal here, with attentive service. But I expected a bit more from a Michellin starred restaurant. I can't quite put my finger on it, because everything was delicious and expertly prepared and presented. It just didn't seem particularly "special" to me, which is what I've come to expect from a Michellin starred establishment. I would still... More

We came here to have the tasting menu. And this was definitely the best choice we could have made. All dishes were delicious. The recommended wine was also very good. The service was very kind. A must-go-spot!

Everything was great about Zuberoa! The service, the decor, the history, people, family, food and the wine were all over the top. My wife and I, with 2 friends from Texas had the most enjoyable time at Zuberoa. It is worth the price to enjoy one of the finest restaurants in the world. Can't wait to go back.

My daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner recently at Zuberoa. We received a warm welcome upon arrival. There is no pretense here - just a genuine desire to serve wonderful food in a beautiful setting. The menu focuses on local ingredients cooked to perfection. Many of the dishes focus on local seafood and pork - neither of which we... More

This place is exquisite without being pretentious as its a traditional family run restaurant. Came here with the family and ordered the monkfish, steaks and the amazing lamb!!! For desserts we had the apple pie, and chocolate soufflé kind of dish. Apple pie best we had ever eaten and so too was the lamb. Best ever. An extensive wine list... More
