The restaurant is located in an ancient oil mill - in the back room where we sat you can still see some of the original equipment. The inside is very charming and the staff very welcoming. The three of us had pasta dishes made in-house and they were very good. Quality and price were very reasonable for the area. The... More

Lovely restaurant both inside and in the courtyard, with very friendly staff and a traditional pizzas oven, however the menu is handwritten, which is a nice touch if you can read the handwriting, if I were them I'd try using a computer, and choose a fancy readable font instead, it would surely save time all round. Pizza was delicious, thin... More

After all the enthusiastic comments and a recommendation the other day from a fellow traveller I was less than impressed. The tonarelli pasta was borderline overcooked and it was swimming in oil. When we mentioned this we got a dismissive 'oil is good'. The setting is nice but we didn't bother to try further on the basis that if they... More

Pros: Excellent food. Superb wine. Very good service. A great building (where olive oil was once produced) with a large courtyard garden containing fruit trees. Good lighting and ambiance. Cons: Limited options for vegetarians. Music could be improved. Verdict: Recommended.

I had lunch in this restaurant and must say the food was delightful and the owner was charming and hospitable. I arrived a bit late and the family was obviously about to sit down to eat their own meal. However they made me welcome and at no point did I feel awkward. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone... More

Had diner here alone. Ordered fresh ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta cheese and covered with a delicious wallnut sauce. The a had filetto di manzo with truffels sauce. Highly tasteful. I drank a good botttle of Lamuri red wine from Sicily. Friendy proprietors. Had diner on the terrace, I think the inside of the restaurant has more charme. Very... More

We were visitng Fondi on a day trip from Rome. We had read some reviews on TA but had actually intended going to a different restaurant. However, we were struck by hunger and found ourselves on the same street at Il Frantoio (and far away from the other one). Having whet our appetite just reading the menu, we went in.... More

This restaurant located in the old town of Fondi and within walking distance of the castle is well worth a visit. Not only is the food and wine superb but the building is amazing. It is a converted mill and the character has been very well retained. A very interesting menu with surprisingly large portions. The staff were fantastically helpful.... More

Fantastic fresh food in a beautiful restaurant! We went as 2 couples and all had different dishes, the antipasti was incredible and we could not fault our mains from clam pasta, lamb, steak and wild boar, all delicious!
