Beautiful modern Australian food - desert menu is amazing and each dish delicious and large serves - excellent personal service from a family owned restaurant in a lovely venue. Worth the trip up to the beautiful Adelaide hills to dine at Locavore.

Excellent restaurant with great service. Family if three were greeted and allocated warmest table in restaurant as per request. Food was fresh and full of flavour. Service was attentive and efficient. Highly recommended

The food was fresh and delicious as always with much care taken to accomodate a special requirement. Please never remove the squid starter from the menu. The service is always friendly and personal with the husband and wife team, along with always welcoming staff, ensuring...everything is perfect. Great wine selection too!! We are regulars and will continue to be!! In fact our wonderful experiences at Locavore helped us make the decision to move from Sydney to the Adelaide Hills!More

Without a doubt the best local Hills restaurant. ( we are local and have shopped around!) The menu is varied and the cooking excellent. Service is quick, polite and caring. What we particularly appreciate is that one can linger , enjoying a meal without being...drowned out by music or overly noisy guests.More

Friendly staff,nice setting,I had the mushroom dish which was delicious and a good serving.My husband had eggs and bacon which he enjoyed. Will definitely go back and try the other menus choices .I also think that this resturant does not seem get the same bussnes...as others in this area,yet I think the service and food is good.More

Warmly welcomed by Maître D and a nice fire. Arancini balls with truffled mayo was a tasty starter. Local wines by the glass. Mains were Squid Salad and baked Gnocchi and Chicken. Needed the recipe. Laid up at home with Covid. So friend dashed off to Locavore and returned with piping hot, freshly made, sautéed chicken liver treat, plus a cob of sour-dough bread to soak up the superb sauce and juices. What a treat to eat local and experience delicious uncomplicated, uncompromising gourmet meals that are excellent quality and value in a warm and inviting environment in gorgeous Adelaide Hills. From the fragrant dressing on the SA oysters to the amazing and generous portions of pork...belly, barramundi and steak- everything was delicious! So many gluten free options it was impressive. This restaurant lived up to its reputation with great food, wine and service. We liked that local products were used and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Thoughtful menu, impressively crafted. We hadn't been up here for many years. Now there's a new owner chef. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, our table scoffed pork belly, barramundi and the burger. All yummo. We just had to have the tiramisu and roulade to share....Sipping on local wines ... what more could you ask for? We will return.More
