Stopped by for lunch on our way to Hahndorf and wow, what a beautiful venue/ restaurant! The dishes and wines have a heavy French I inspiration, the menu is fairly simple as they’ve taken the quality over quantity approach. We opted for the bouillabaisse which...was fantastic and the coq au vin which was great too. They provide pub classics such as a burger, fish and chips etc for those who wish to play it safe. The venue is simply gorgeous and is a notch above your typical “pub hotel”, we loved the everything about this place from decor, food to the excellent friendly service we were offered. Highly recommend this place !More

Not just a pub meal. 5he hotel is serving up market meals with prices to match. The venue is great. Well patronised on a Sunday for lunch. Started with beers from their wide selection of local brews - very nice. The food was all good....An enjoyable long lunch ( watched the end of the footy from another bar after lunck)More

Great food and lovely atmosphere. Was very busy, even on a Sunday night in winter, but not noisy. So make sure you book in to save disappointment.

Our family were celebrating three birthdays, so met for lunch at the Crafers Hotel on a sunny winter afternoon. We were delighted to be shown to a private room for our small party, which enabled us all to share conversation in a a quieter space-...always helpful when with older people. The service was exemplary and the food memorable for all the right reasons. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this special occasion, and will put the Crafers Hotel at the top of our list of 'go-to' venues. Highly recommended!More

We have been to the Crafers Hotel before and had a good experience. The food was good and the service was also good. We decided to go this weekend Saturday the 17th of July for lunch for my birthday. What has happened to your service???...Right from the start our waitress has no idea about the menu or any of the wines. After ordering entrees we were told they are not doing the dish at the moment. And then the long wait... at least an hour after our entree was cleared before it looked like they were going to start cooking our mains. We asked multiple times how long it will be with little care or responsibility from staff. We had ordered a bottle of wine and had to remind them after all of our glasses were empty to get a re-fill. We got to the stage where we had been waiting for hours so we asked for the Manager. He listened to our concerns however he did not apologise or take any responsibility for our experience. When the meals finally came out they were underwhelming. No discount on the invoice and no responsibility taken. We are locals and will not be returning. I think they need a change in management if that’s how they treat their customers.More

Wait staff didn’t know the menu or the wine list. Took forever for the food to come. Food cleared away while still eating. Unapologetic manager who didn’t care. Would not recommend

Stopped in here looking for lunch after an adventure afternoon on the mountain. What a find. You must stop here. Staff were super friendly and engaging. We stopped in mid afternoon and a selection of the menu was still available. Burgers, fish and chips plus...seafood curry was just what we needed. Delicious and generous serves. Table by the fire with a refreshing Session Ale. Make sure to have a walk around and look at the incredible renovation. Highly recommend ... make this your next destination!!!More

Very mediocre scotch fillet served in a sea of slop. Too much watery sauce and an insipid mash that elicited memories of Deb, This on top of of a pretentious French menu.

We were there after dark and did not have children with us. We only sat inside so did not see the outside at all.

Hon Duncan, just smart casual is nice for our dining rooms. We have a front bar where we don't mind tanks and thongs, but our dining room is a little more sophisticated. Thanks and hope to see you! Cheers Julie peter
