Stopped here for a quick bite. View is stunning and staff friendly. It was awhile before the waiter was free to take our order but he was very friendly and knew the menu and 2 waiters delivered our meals really fast. The menu was diverse and we ordered the calamari with nam jim, pork belly and seafood marinara. My kids eat lots of calamari and declared this was the best yet. The pork belly was yummy and a generous portion for a entree size. The marinara was also generous with the fish in the marinara sauce with a generous amount of king prawn, calamari and muscles. All the staff were super friendly and would like to return for their Dinner menu. Prices reasonable

Had lunch there on Saturday arvo with wife and daughter. Very friendly staff, amazing location and views. Wife's Panko Lemon & Herb Crusted Dory Fish was presented beautifully and she enjoyed it immensely. Pad Thai was tasty and serving generous. Right amount of heat. Our daughter smashed the beef and bacon burger which surprised us as she is picky.
Overall would we go again? Probably, although typical of Montville it's somewhat over priced.
It was refreshing to be treated as customers for a change. Great staff. Very thorough and polite.

Our friends wanted us to eat here and we so appreciated there hospitality/generosity. The view was nice but there were some hiccups. First of all, the person who took our reservation put us down for the wrong day. They did scurry to rectify the mistake, but our table wasn't as close to the view as we would have liked. Service was a bit slow and everything didn't come out at the same time. My dish wasn't that great - it was too tomato-y, it had what I would label shrimp not prawns, and the shrimp was rubbery. One of the kids wanted a burger, but they were out of burgers and it was only around noon. For the amount of money one pays, I would expect a better experience.

We had a great lunch at this restaurant; you could be fooled into just sitting down and eating for the view; the food was surprisingly good, well prepared and of excellent value. Try and get a table near to the edge, this will give you the best view. Service was slow to begin with, although I would put some of that down to the Covid 19 virus and a lack of staff.

Visited in August 2020, the sun was shining, the view was spectacular, the scones and coffee were very enjoyable, the staff members we encountered were all very pleasant and attentive and the cost was very reasonable. The "misses" was happy, "happy wife, happy life" !!! Definitely a good experience. When we are next in Montville, she wants to stay at least a couple of nights, we will definitely be visiting The Edge when we will have time to enjoy a full meal.

We booked 3months in advance for a mid week non holiday period for a table for 4 on the deck. To our amazement we were seated in a hideaway area near toilets & storage area with no atmosphere or views. On seeing vacant unreserved tables in our preferred area, I asked the waitress if we could move and was told no they are booked. We ordered a main meal which was over priced & just a meal, so decided we would go elsewhere for sweets & coffee where we felt welcomed. Which we did & found an amazing place that we wish we had booked for lunch.
On leaving Edge Restaurant we walked along the Deck to experience view & atmosphere. There were many vacant tables despite our booking request being denied

Tqo meals ordered and two meals came stone cold. Not warm or slightly cold, but as if it had come from the fridge. Both meals ordered tasted as if the food was out of date. We would never return. Both meals were insanely expensive. $60 for two breakfasts and two coffee during a weekday!!!
The coffee was acceptable. Not fantastic but not bad.
Visitors would be better off absorbing the view at the free viewing area (near the ice cream store) and then visit one of the nearby restaurants on the main drag.

Our table service was great, The view was fantastic! Unfortunately two of us ordered Szchuan Chicken noodle was very disappointing, the chicken thighs were hard and rubbery and the amount served was entree size. Dissatisfied. Coffee was cold

Wow this restaurant ticks all boxes...a view OMG..the staff..so lovely..the food..is delicious. We stayed for 2 hours and it could have been longer so comfortable..and view kept changing with the weather. It rained but the restaurant had automatic weather blinds come down. We had pork bites and dips with olives and lots bread and iced lattes..all up $42...such great value. I will be back..to good not too

Today 13/08 I tuck my friend for lunch. I ordered black mussels in a white wine, butter, parsley and tomato salsa, I asked if can be spicy they said yes.
When the mussels arrived the chilly on side which is not what I asked. No side bowl for my shells, the chef forgot completely the tomato salsa in my dish. there is no way I will order mussels in a white sauce but that’s what I get today.
Very disappointed every time I order something and I got something alse…

Went to the Edge restaurant for Sunday breakfast. Ordered full view breakfast x 2 and Eggs Benedict and while they were busy when our meals came out they were all cold, not at all aopertising. Would not recommend and will not return next time we stay in Montville.

We had lunch here. I had the Dory fillets and hubby had the Prawn pad thai. We were told when sitting that the kitchen closes in 20 mins. We ordered straight away. I was surprised that our meals arrived within 4 minutes. Although my fish was very nice, the pad thai was awful - obviously microwaved and rubbery. The view was amazing, the food less than tantalising.
Maybe stop for a coffee, but not a meal.
BTW, the local ginger beer is lovely, but do overpriced for this restaurant.

We had requested an edge table when booking and that was what we got: uninterrupted views all the way to the ocean. As there are two lunchtime sittings and we opted for the earlier one, service was very quick. We had barely ordered and our entrée share plate arrived. It seemed strange to have an odd number of prawns on a share plate for two! Our mains arrived in a timely manner after the entrée. The fish and chips were good without being outstanding, but the middle eastern bowl was a treasure trove of bits and pieces. Had a chuckle when paying as the sign said 'contactless payment requested' but then you had to touch the device – not contactless at all (but cleaned between customers).

We enjoyed breakfast with a group of friends at this lovely venue and were thoroughly impressed 🌟
The menu offers a good selection of familiar meals as well as a number of more adventurous choices.
Our orders were taken at the table by friendly staff that were happy to engage in conversation.
Chilled water was quickly delivered, with our meals & coffees arriving together after a short wait. The restaurant was quite busy and the kitchen staff did a brilliant job of turning out well presented, hot dishes that tasted great.
Located on the edge of the Montville hinterland, this venue affords beautiful views of the Sunshine Coast and surrounding rural areas. This exposed position can leave guests feeling the chill, and I’d recommend bringing an extra layer if you feel the cold.
There is safe off street parking underneath the complex, with entry from Memorial Close. On street parking is available but limited.

The views are spectacular. Service is lacking. Sat down ordered a drink. 15 minutes later staff came back and we ordered lunch. A number of other diners came and ordered but received their meals before us. After 45 minutes we were questioning if lunch would ever come. It didn't. We decided to pay for our drinks and leave.
Maybe it is a staffing issue due to covid.
We did advise the front desk who kindly said we did not have to pay for the two cokes we drank.
Overall we made a poor choice to eat at The Edge in Montville. We had thought the good reviews and the fact our accomodation is right above the restaurant would make it a pleasant experience. It wasn't. A lot more attention needs to be given to service.
I suggest there are other places to eat that are more customer focused in Montville. You should try them.
