Came to burger pit on the Monday after the Christmas weekend for a snack during our time in Montville. The poor guys only had two staff on and were getting pumped. Yet they maintained their composure, kept a positive attitude, continued to work diligently and...efficiently, communicated effectively and Cleary with customers about wait times. The size and taste was amazing and literally the best burger I have ever had. The meat is real meat, not a pre-made patty. All ingredients were fresh and well put together. Will definitely recommend and be back.
Burgers were massive and delicious. Onion rings and chips were crispy and also a massive serving. Only need one to share between 2-3 people. Great spot!
At first I was skeptical to try this place but I'm so glad I did. WOW so much flavour and fresh too. Was also incredibly impressed with the sizing serve of the chips Will definately return
We had no set plans for lunch and thought we would walk the street and try something that looked good. The site of the grill and beautiful smells of the burger pit sealed the deal. We were so glad we did. The burgers were brilliant...and the chips were perfect.More
They have a great variety of burgers and hot dogs for everyone even vegan and gf, you can get a cool refreshing drink as well
Beautiful burgers, we had the Peri peri chicken burger, Hawaiian chicken & the coop & the no fuss burgers. They were delicious. Had sweet potato fries & onion rings. Will definitely be back. We got there at 1:40pm & we got a table no problem
Seen this place a few times when it In Montville but it was closed, finally it was open. How disappointing it was after all the wait. Not very busy on the day went went, but server was in a hurry to take our order, then...when we got our burgers that where made with bare hands, they had no taste. One burger was that bad it never got eaten, so all in all we wasted our money. I wouldn’t recommend eating here and we will never be back. Only good side to the place was the seating was spread out and the cow statue.More
I am a bit slow to review went there about 4 weeks ago and yes as others reviewed food handled with bare hands and you definitely are worth buying food elsewhere not good burgers and I have tried many different burger places

We live local and we were really looking forward to The Burger Pit after walking by so many times. The open kitchen is open to public viewing so you'd expect that they'd have 1st class hygiene in place. Not so. All food handled by bare...hands, no hair nets or chefs hat. Clothing was filthy from chef's wiping hands on their shirts and trousers. Before you take up a seat, we'd suggest you watch the kitchen in action beforehand. I also cannot justify $25 -$30 for a burger...it'd have to be an exceptional burger at that price. $100 for burger meal? Seriously?More
I was visiting from the UK and stopped off here with family to try this place after a recommendation. Hands down the best burger I've had! You get so much for your money and the staff are just lovely! Really wish we had somewhere like...this in the UK, would absolutely recommend!More
Delicious Burgers all round!! Well done guys.. The ingredients were of high quality and cooked to perfection. There were 9 of us sampling different items on the menu and all were spot on. The corona went down a treat also.
Waited 50 minutes for 2 basic burgers. Not even peak time. Was advised issue with toasting, however kitchen appeared understaffed and completely inefficient. Would not recommend.
We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon while in Montville with our little family. A MUST DO for everyone, especially if you love burgers and want something down to earth and delicious. We wish we were locals so we could stop by whenever we want...;) Despite the steady flow of customers, we were in awe of Aaron who ran the show solo that afternoon, taking orders and was awesome on the grill.More
