We enjoyed a delicious roast lunch at the Half Moon this weekend. It's clear they use very high quality ingredients and we were pleased everything was sourced locally. The portion sizes were generous but we still managed to clear our plates. I think their gravy was the best I've tasted! Thanks to it being a sunny November day we were... More

We visited the half moon to eat for the second time, the first time having been marred by staff training. This time everything was excellent, we had the mixed meat sharing starter between 3 which was great and we then had traditional Sunday lunch which was excellent. We had our dog with us, who is well behaved and he was... More

Upon entering the premises we were greeted by a very friendly young chap behind the well stocked bar and we tried some local ciders the he recommended and they were very nice. Once we were taken to our table we were given a menu and advised of the specials. Every question we asked was answered with a friendly response and... More

Lovely food, log fire, friendly relaxed atmosphere - reasonably priced and beautifully presented country pub food, also a proper locals pub which is lovely to see still in a rural community. Went for a quiet mid week evening meal with our 10 year old, excellent childrens menu (inc vegetarian), happily changed a dish to vegan for main course for me,... More

This pub/restaurant has an extensive menu, and everything we had eating here on tow visits was excellent. The chef is very expert at sauces - packed full of flavour, and seasoned just right. The crab sauce with the Huss in butter beans with prawns was an excellent combination, with just the right amount of saffron to add an extra layer... More

Sent 2 e-mails requesting to book a table for 5. Didn't get any acknowledgement let alone a booking confirmation. If they don't use e-mail then they should not leave their e-mail address on their website

It is situated in the Blackdown Hills on the Devon/Somerset border. The pub has spectacular views as it looks across the Culm Valley. We offer outstanding food from the restaurant from our ever-changing special board and our menu. We also have a selection of local beers.
