Initially we were the only people in the restaurant for lunch. The waitperson was attentive without being intrusive and served us sparkling water while we made our selection. We chose two starters each, and followed this up with dessert. I chose the cheese plate which...was described as being accompanied by fig jam and Lavosh. What arrived was two pieces of uninspiring cheese, honey and store bought crackers (no explanation). The other starter was bruschetta, a do it yourself job, a dish of diced tomato and basil drowning in oil. Second round starters were better, although I thought my pate was probably commercially produced rather than made in house. My dessert was tiramisu which was very disappointing. It was dry and lacked the creaminess I expected. We left very disappointed with our experience. I have written to the restaurant outlining my concerns about substituting ingredients, and giving them the right to reply. After twelve days with no explanation, I have shared my experience.More

This is a fine dining restaurant in a room that looks more like a cafe. The food is wonderful. The staff are friendly. I'm just amazed that they have polished concrete floors and very plain furniture. If they invested in a stylist and dressed the...restaurant up I'm sure that patronage would double. But maybe they have enough customers already. I will definitely be back.More

Booked dinner at Emerson’s for our anniversary. We are regular Hunter visitors and wanted to try a new venue. Given some leniency for Covid I think of the bat that the ambiance for dinner as a premium priced restaurant needs some updating. The staff, all...new, needs some training on attentiveness and customer service. Food was pricey but was good and flavorsome. If all the other aspects mentioned can be addressed then this restaurant would be able to hold its own with other exceptional venues in the Hunter.More

We arrived early for our lunch, so did a quick wine tasting at Adina, John was lovely and knowledgeable. We then went next door and seriously Wanda and the staff could not have been any more attentive and wonderful. Wine choice was great, and our...food was to die for. Do yourself a favour, get the Brussel sprouts!!! Will definitely return.More

Our group dined here for dinner and wouldn't go back. Whilst the food was nice it was very expensive. I had the pork chop for $45 and that's all there was on the plate. You had to order sides at $9for a small bowl of...toast potato halves. Our tap beer tasted off and lacked bubbles. The chosen sparkling wine also tasted not quite right. The waiter laughed it off when told. Overall it cost over $70 a head. The steak was $48 and was served alone. Very expensive and disappointing.More

Called in here for lunch on Sunday - no booking with great anticipation. The last time we were here pre-covid we had such an amazing experience; today was a huge let down - sadly much of the irritant factor could have been taken away if...the staff were invested. After being seated on the balcony and looking forward to the tranquility, there was a large party with noisy screaming children adjacent to us (that was an ongoing source of irritation and distraction however the restaurant has no control over this) - the waitress arrived with menus and asked us if we would like a drink before launching into a spiel of what was not available, no beer on tap, no something or other the waitress was very difficult to understand and I had to ask her to repeat herself. With beer a non option, we decided on a cocktail. I ordered an Aperol spritz only to be told, 'we have no aperol'. I suggested that the waitress tell us what they DO have available to order, and we settled for some tap water. I am thinking we are not off to a good start, no beer on tap, no (still couldn't understand what it was there was none of) and no aperol. Uninspired by the service thus far we ordered our meal; my husband had the sirloin with chimichurri and I had the spaghetti with squid and we shared a bruschetta as a starter. The bruschetta was dripping in oil and devoid of much flavour at all. Our mains arrived, underwhelming. The chimichurri flavour was more like mint sauce and lacked any depth of flavour, the steak was palatable. The spaghetti itself was well seasoned albeit very oily and the squid very rubbery. So very disappointed after our last visit which was outstanding - but wait there is more. After finishing our mains, the waitress brought a dessert menu and asked us if we would like anything else. My husband ordered an affogotto to which he was told "oh sorry I forgot we turned the coffee machine off 10 minutes ago" - so infuriating and so expensive for what it was. We left disappointed and wandered into the tasting room which was full of a noisy busload of people - rather too many for current distancing restrictions so decided to call it a day and return to Sydney. The entire experience so underwhelming, won't be returning - From the get go we were put off by being told how many things were not available without any positive spin or attempt to upsell what they did have. For goodness sake, please stop asking customers if they would like dessert or coffee if you have turned the coffee machine off before the end of service and have no intention of turning it back on.More

For some reason, your request came to me (I posted a review on Trip Advisor). The phone number of the restaurant is +61 2 4930 7029. They should be able to help you with a bus company that can transport your group.

Some, but not a huge variety. Not being vegetarian myself I did not take much notice, but I am pretty sure there was only one in the entrees and one in mains.
