Had an amazing meal and the bar steward was very helpful. The waitress Molly made our evening with her professional yet friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble for her. So nice to see some one happy and cheerful even though you could see she was very busy. Lovely fire and great TV. Have been warned we must book in... More

Food good but service slow. Didn't have part of the dish we ordered but served it without what was listed on the menu. Didn't explain why and charged full price regardless. When questioned why part of meal missing they said we ran out of that sorry and walked away.

Lovely food and friendly pub. Music was great. Nice atmosphere. The views out back are wonderful. Will certainly return in the summer.

We booked the table for 1:30pm on 8th January 2017, since we didn't know which places did Sunday lunch and we were immediately accepted as if the pub was completely empty, we thought great. Oh were we wrong? We got drinks and four adult sized Sunday Lunches after 10 minutes of waiting and we were... um "shown" our seats, we... More

My 4year old autistic son and I popped in for a drink. I was served quickly and the pub was petite and calm with small groups socialising. We had a coke and a hot chocolate made my a lovely guy who's name I didn't catch, he made a delicious hot chocolate with a milk heater and for an extra 20p... More

Came here with partner over Halloween break. Was much quieter and we were the only couple upstairs in the restaurant but we felt very welcome by staff. Especially the young lady behind the bar who we chatted to for a good chunk of the night. We ate on a Tuesday and it was Curry night. Have to say it was... More

Never ate here before thought we'd give it a try. For starters we had, mixed fish basket & baked Camembert. Both of these were lovely. For main course we had rib eye steak and lasagna. The rib eye steak was lovely. Unfortunately the lasagna was the worst we have ever encountered. The meat was dry, there was no sauce to... More

We have been trying to eat in the Victoria Inn for a while now. We go to the bar where we are ignored for a good five minutes. When we try to book there is always 'an hour wait'. If staff were friendly we might be prepared to wait but we have always been given the impression that we are... More

This is a great pub to sit down after a breezy walk and fill up on good, honest pub grub. Staff are always really friendly - went there on Christmas Day and they gave us fizz on arrival! The only down side is the tellies - I hate TVs in pubs and it just distracts people and families from proper... More
