Excellent soba and inexpensive - less than 700 yen. Order from the machines at the front and hand the ticket in once you find a seat.

Due to the huge population of American military families and foreigners in this area, most of the food options in the Sunabe area are priced higher than average, but Hamaya has been in this area for a very long time. Not only that, it's one of the ONLY Okinawa soba spots, so they have a large volume of customers (both... More

It's the local delicacy. It is noodles with meat in it. There's not too much to say about soba. This place is cheap, delicious, and fast!! A must have if you are visiting/living here.

It is a cheap place to experience the local style of soba noodles. Soba is different in Okinawa to mainland Japan in that it uses plain flour and not buckwheat. Personally I prefer this to mainland soba. They serve it in a ramen-like broth with some okay meat. The pork does not really compare to the "Transport Cafe" just around... More

Simple and friendly joint with great noodles. Highlight is the super tender and tasty pork. Loved it.

If you are looking for a place for Soba with lots of locals and an English menu; this is it! The price is right! Unless you are ready for lots of noodles, recommend the small portion.

I'm not a soba expert but would say the food was good. Nothing that was WOW! But a good meal and very inexpensive. Guess I just may not know how to add flavor to the soba as they had different chilli powder and spicy juice that you may add. The workers were amazing!! Very polite and nice. Not a lot... More

Our dive guide recommended this restaurant for its famous soba with pork. We seldom eat pork, but wanted to try the local dishes and decided to give it a try, and were not disappointed. We had a satisfying and tasty meal at a very reasonable price. We ordered the large bowls of soba with pork cooked two ways, served in... More

This place was introduced to me by a native Okinawan as: "One of the best places on the island to get soba." It definitely lived up to the name. Need I say more?

I love the authenticity of this place. It obviously has great noodles but it's not making a big deal off it. The service is quick and the beers nice and cold. A must visit if you are near Chatan.
