My husband and I visited Snail’s Pace today for the first time after receiving great recommendations from friends. I am so glad we did. Despite arriving obviously at a busy time of day, I was very impressed with the cheerful atmosphere and very friendly manner...of the staff. We had the delicious falafels which were freshly cooked and the service was efficient. Well worth visiting after cycling from Wadebridge!More

We contacted Snails Pace and despite being a last minute booking the team we very accommodating, extremely helpful and were able to sort bikes for us. We hired two bikes with tag-ons for our 4 and 5 year olds. Having not ventured on a bike...ride before as didn't think they would last long, we decided today would be the perfect time to try it out. Not being sure how far we'd get we set off from Snails Pace and ended up in Wadebridge!!! Our boys were able to pedal too, which helped us along the way, we stopped at The Borough Arms for lunch, pit stop at Wadebridge, then headed back for an ice cream!! Well deserved after 22 miles. Would highly recommend, our boys had an absolutely fantastic day out. It was the perfect end to the school holidays. The Bike Hire is great value for money and made for a great family day out. Pump, puncture repair kit and bike lock were all provided so covered in all eventualities. Will be visiting again very soon 👍 Great friendly, cheerful service as always from the team at Snails Pace. #supportlocal #bikehire #familytimeMore

What a fantastic set up! With Cornwall in full swing over the August bank holiday we were so glad that we could get bike hire and collection sorted from this beautiful cafe. We needed a number of bikes for children and adults and the member...of staff I spoke to on the phone to sort bike hire could not have been more helpful. Fab cafe team - delicious breakfast and beautiful coffees set us up well for our cycle and the selection of homemade cakes we took with us along the way were the perfect snack. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon hopefully! Thank youMore

I love this cafe. Great cake and coffee, and very welcoming and friendly staff as always. Would really recommend as a place to visit if you like good tasty food. Particularly recommend the frangipani cake. Situated at the quiet end of the Camel Trail it...is a very welcome sight at the end of a long walk with the dog.More

Myself and friends were visiting my family over the bank holiday weekend who live locally and ordered brunch to eat at the outdoor seating. Whilst ordering we were a little taken aback by the rude girl taking orders however we persevered as we’d walked an...hour to reach the cafe. When the orders were ready to pick up and called out we wanted to check we were collecting the correct food however the girl again taking orders couldn’t tell us what was wrapped up in each package and was less than helpful when asked if it was our food. There was then a drink missing from my order which I questioned and was told I had not ordered, I was then made to feel like this was my fault and was spoken to in a very rude manner that was quite unacceptable and I was shocked by. Thankfully the staff member making the coffees was able to assist me with my simple request for a plain black coffee. The food however was delicious as always, would recommend the breakfast sandwiches. It was such a shame the meal and experience was ruined by the rude staff member especially given this was one of my first breaks away from working full time in a busy Covid hospital. I would love to return for the great food however I’m not sure it’s worth it for the poor service I received.More

What a great little place. Constant stream of cyclists passing through and cars parking. We rode from Bodmin to Snails Pace cafe along the river path. The path is a bit rough and ready but better than busy roads. The cafe is amazing. Eco friendly,...lovely array of foods and cakes and drinks all at reasonable prices. Cheese burger was really tasty. Quiche was great and my son loved the cream tea although most squidgy out as there was soo much cream and jam! The composting toilet is a great asset. Environmentally friendly and a bit pongy but it’s all natural! Great little place and well worth the cycle.More

My family and I visited Cornwall last week and stopped off at Snail's Pace for a cake. The cakes were amazing! There is such a good selection, we all had a different one and if the portions hadn't been so generous, would certainly have been...back for another one! The whole natural, sustainable ethos of the cafe is a breath of fresh air - even the cafe it's self is a re-used shipping container, although you'd never guess, clad in re-cycled timber! you can also hire bikes there, which would make the food even tastier after a long ride on the Camel Trail - if that was possible! The staff couldn't be friendlier and the whole atmosphere is relaxing and pleasurable. A treat for any occasion!More
