Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Its was raining and was into some issues with family and work on my vacation. Truth be told that alone made my trip downhill from arriving in Yufuin station.
Looking for a late breakfast and lunch at 230pm as I didn’t have time to get something because of travel I saw this place and had a nice shack at the back to chill out of the rain. After ordering of course people went in and used the entire place. So I went to the area right beside the counter which was open air but dry.
Had the most popular burger and a bottle of beer (bottle not can). The burger was really good and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. Thick too! Owner told me to press on it and keep it in the paper. So good. When finished and fully satisfied I made the right choice to eat in my limited 2 hour stay in Yufuin the rains stopped, sun came out abit and the owner smiled as I thanked him for a great experience. I even had a Mt Yufuin view while eating. Good thing the shack filled quick.
When here just drop by and smile to the owner. And oh, he rents bicycles out too!

We walked past this little place not knowing what to expect. You order at the little hut and then walk into a mini wooden shed/chalet with cute pieces of art on the walls. The burger was EXCELLENT!
Don’t be fooled by the appearance.... this place is a little gem👍

Just a burger stand with a few tables, tissue boxes on the table and drinks from vending machine. Burgers and bottled beer from the one-man burger stand.
We took the regular sized burgers which were big enough. Loved the succulent burger patty and the tender sirloin beef burger with spicy yuzu.
Nice last quick brunch before we left Yufuin for the drive to Fukuoka.

I came to this Yufuin Burger House with the highest expectations. My friends previously had the experience of eating here and had whispered sweet nothings into my ear about the burger for 24 hours straight. I was excited but not nervous. I’ve had a fair amount of great burgers in my life time. I am no stranger to a perfect bun, a succulent tomato, or the most special of sauces. Let me tell you something: I still was not prepared.
The chef brought the immaculate burgers out to us in the clear sunshine and before they met the table I could tell they were perfectly assembled. I saw a juicy tower of crisp strong lettuce, a lively tomato slice, and a flirty piece of thick bacon peeking out. A robust chunk of cheddar confirmed that this would be an experience of a lifetime. This was all perfectly surrounded by two gorgeous buns.
As I took the burger in my hands and pressed the buns together to take a bite, it was as if the sun winked at me and the wind rustled the leaves nearby to cheer me on. I chewed once and my brain erupted in fireworks: “10/10! More! More!” The first bite exceeded my highest expectations. This burger, I am absolutely certain, is assembled from the finest ingredients in the land. The freshness takes you to a different dimension where everything is bliss and your heart beats with burger love. Every component, from the dash of mustard to the thick but not oppressive beef patty, comes together in exceptional culinary achievement. You don’t want to miss this. As a friend once eloquently put it, “The only bad part about this burger, is the end.”

Took away burgers for the train ride back to Fukuoka and was pleasantly surprised by the beef patty and the burger fillings. We tried all 3 burgers (Yufuin, teriyaki and egg/bacon) and all did not disappoint. Worth a try for a relatively inexpensive meal.

The Burger House is just a few blocks up the street from the station on the right side of the road. Ordered the burger with a beef patty, egg and bacon. The beef patty was a little small for the bun, but tasted good. The Yufuin Burger House has a few tables and seats in a little shed behind the ordering hut. Was comfortable and clean. A relatively inexpensive option compared with some of the prices in Yufu.
