There's a well balanced mix of customers towards the local, meaning the place is not an empty-of-all-meaning tourist attraction... I took the Special Seafood, shrimps and crab. Lovely crab!!! Being a Mediterranean guy, shrimps wouldn't be the hot spot, but Atlantic crab was the deal!! What a meat!! Served with Porto for starter and BSE white whine to go along.

The food in this place was amazing, all fresh seafood and it just kept coming out. We were there with a large group and there was no shortage of food. Delicious. Very tight seating, great views. Brilliant Service.

During our visit we decided that we must try the local cuisine. The food was great, fresh and hot. With my meal I ordered a beer and gestured to the waiter that I want a large one. To my surprise he brought me a liter (Mas) of the local brew. The baked cod was delicious but required a lot of... More

We had a late Sunday lunch at Farol. The place was packed with 90% locals and 10% tourists. Everyone looked pretty happy, so we decided to give it a try after taking the ferry over. We were lucky to get a seat. If you can get beyond the hard sell for the lobsters and the somewhat typical placement of unwanted... More

We got the ferry across to Cacilhas and went for this place which was basically right next to ferry. Busy place, with a bustling atmosphere and great service. The waiter recommended a lovely bottle of red (Esporao) and the covers were simple but very tasty. The cheese (Azeutao) was great and the sardine pate too. I had a grilled bream... More

Just 10m by boat, enjoy the ride to the other side of the river. Lots of seafood to choose at a reasonable price.

We saw the the good reviews for this restaurant and we decided to go. Worst experience ever, we found a fly in our food and the waiter told us to not be worry because the fly is not from kitchen =:-) . They brought us another plate but we did not ask for it. In the end we asked for... More

This seafood restaurant was recommended to us so we took the ferry for the short trip. The service was excellent and the food divine. I had beautiful prawns. Was a great night at this restaurant.

The "Farol" is a century-old restaurant, the oldest in Setubal and is known for good beer and good seafood, from their own aquariums. With a cozy atmosphere and a great ''Tejo'' river and Lisbon's view, it's a great place to be.The name "Farol" came from the lighthouse's existence in Cacilhas who once helped navigation of small boats, called "Cacilheiros".Cacilheiros are an easy transport to lots of people in Lisbon to the other side of the Tagus river. You can combine the great tour with the excelence to be able to lunch or dinner in Cacilhas and taste our fish or seafood.
