This restaurant is Snobbish with a capital S. I arrived with my family for lunch during dining hours, and there were empty tables, everyone receiving their food, and plenty of waitstaff. We were told we could not be served, even though some of the empty tables were not reserved. It was such a disappointment, and I expected a lot more... More

Good afternoon Cassie, We are sorry that you haven't had the best experience in CAISDAVILLA. In fact, the day you visit us we were full and unfortunately there wasn't any place available in the dining room. Only on the terrace or in the bar, as we reported. We are sorry if we have caused you any trouble. We hope that... More

We have visited twice in the last week for lunch, choosing the set 3 course menu at 12.5 euros, which changes daily, and has generous portions, beautiful presentation, and interesting dishes based on traditional Portuguese cuisine, but maybe with a modern twist. Service is absolutely outstanding with knowledgable English speaking staff. Complimentary bread and olives, Wine is only 2 euros... More

We arrived at 2:30 on a Sunday, and everyone was eating and enjoying their lunches. There were plenty of tables open. When we asked to be sat, we were cheerfully informed that they had no room for us. When we exlained we were hungry and had been searching for a place, the smile remained on the server's face as he... We went there for lunch. The experience was great ! For less than 15€/pp we had a creme soup, squid or a duo of grilled meat and a wonderful gratin of fruit, wine and coffee. Food was tasty and worth a michelin recommendation. All this served in a wonderful place, with very attentive waiters. We saw some dishes served at... More

We went all the way to Vila Real just to eat here as we got it recommended. It was a Tuesday late evening and we had a baby. It was quiet which helped a lot the case. The food was delicious. We had the prawn with risotto and grilled fish. The staff was very nice. Worth the 40km in panoramic... More

We decided to try the Cais Da Villa restaurant based on the Trip Advisor reviews we read and were not disappointed. This place has a real quality ambiance and provides the food and service to match. We very much enjoyed the quality and presentation of the dishes ordered, together with the attentive waiter service. Thoroughly recommended.

went here based on reviews and wasn't disappointed! We wanted tapas and that was available in the bar area. Amazing grilled mushrooms, Huge portion best ever. Octopus was great too, very thinly sliced. Ended w a beautiful cheese board. Terrific setting in an old train yard building. Highly recommended.

People eat late here in a fashionable place to be. Mainly Portugese when we went on a warm Friday night. Some came just to have a coffee. Limited menu with enough choice and plenty of fish as well as beef. We had the monkfish and rice shared dish which was really perfect example of its type. And plenty of it... More
