We were visiting Attingham Park, so we called in for Sunday Lunch. A set price of £20.95. The starter and pudding were a disappointment but the main course was first class. The best roast beef we have ever tasted! My husband had to return his beer but this was replaced with no fuss by our delightful waitress Lucy. A very... More

Had a lunch meal with friends outside on a sunny day. It was my first visit there , never again !! Flat drinks , replaced with more flat drinks with extra ice to fizz it up a bit ( so the staff say ! ) charged different prices for food by different staff members. Three meals came out not as... I went to the The Mytton and Mermaid Hotel for a drink. The first impression I got was that it was a very nice building. Inside the decor is modern yet has a rustic charm to it. I had drinks at the bar area. The prices were reasonable. The bar is on the right hand side as you enter the... More

After having visited the Mytton on a number of occasions, when the average food was at least offset by the atmosphere and the location, this was quite simply the worst pub food we have ever had the misfortune to be served, and it was matched by equally dire, totally unprofessional service. What on earth has happened to the management of... More

Our family lunch for a 70th birthday was held in the drawing room, a lovely room overlooking the river. The service was excellent, and we were personally looked after by Martin, who was extremely attentive and looked after all our requirements. Our first visit, and we will definitely go there again. Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and great setting.

We bought our Daughter and Son in Law a voucher for Christmas for your restaurant as it had been recommended to us. On arrival there was no one to meet and greet. Eventually they got a table where they were given a menu. It took 20 minutes before anyone came and asked if they wanted a drink!! Their food arrived... More

We visited here for the first time on a sunny lunchtime. We rung first to ensure we would get a table, but we were told they weren't busy and didn't need to book. on arrival, we were told we couldn't sit in the main restaurant eating area, as we hadn't booked! However, the gentleman waiter was great, and ensured that... More

We have eaten at The Mytton on numerous occasions. Usually very good but was disappointed this time. The service was ok-ish. Our lunch was fine but the desserts were awful. Sticky toffee pud was quite inedible - it was hard and burnt and my husband couldn't eat it. The waitress lost interest towards the end of our visit and couldn't... More

First time eating here tonight, the table reservation was at the wrong time but this wasn't a problem, it was very quiet which is unusual given the location and a sunny day. The waitress seemed to move chaired continuously which was off putting. A table complained next to us and no offer of a discount or to see the manager... More

Having recently moved into the area we decided to stop and have lunch here. We went into the bar to order lunch and was told sorry no menus are printed yet. I said to my husband just get me a ploughmans please, I will go outside and get a table. When he came to sit down he said how expensive... More
