Scones were a bit of a disappointment. More like a square sponge cut into pieces. Quite skimpy on their jam which was lovely/ Very noisy and busy. Had to wait to get in

Enjoyed a nice drive through the Dandenong Mountains, and saw a line up outside a quant little English style building on main street. We walked past and the old style music being played outside it, provided more of an enticement to look in. It's truly...More

The family and I have visited a number of times for lunch and the food has never been disappointing. I do think that the prices are higher than they should be and I think of this as a tourist tax but it's not ridiculous. Their...More

A relaxing drive through the Dandenong Ranges should not be complete without a stop in Sassafras. Nestled in the Main Street this niche English styled cottage exudes all the personality and a hint of mystery straight from an Agatha Christie novel. A simple yet delicious...More

We went to experience Puffing Billy Railway in the morning at Belgrave. Since we are driving by ourselves to Phillip Island, so we decided to stop by at Miss Marple for Hi-Tea before we start our 1 Hour 30 mins journey to Philip Island. I...More

A lovely place to visit on a lazy Saturday morning. 6 of us met there and waited a fairly short time, considering the popularity of the Tea Room. A quaint place where you could imagine yourself in a tearoom in an English village. Service was...More

Open at 11am and needs to queue up before it opens. Good scone, good cream and good jam, very enjoyable breakfast. Tea are OK and waffles are standard, too. Recommended place in Dandenong Range, as the scones are simply too outstanding.

Did you actually taste the scones or did you rely on your 'sources'? Scone were made fresh on premises when I was there. Do you know if it has changed hands?

HI, As far as i am aware it has not changed hands and the scones are still made fresh although i didn't try them this time round. In all fairness i don't think they are the standard type of scones you would bake at home... More
