We stayed loacally for one night and walked in for a coffee. The staff were delightful and coffee was great . The decor is in need of a refresh but i would recommend for a cake and coffee stop.

Nice ambience. French style but not squeaky clean. Could do with some Silvo lol Do really nice hot chocolates and cakes. Portuguese tarts were yum. Not a big selection of lunches. I would recommend for afternoon or morning tea. Staff nice but too busy to chat.

Very good baquette, croissant, quiche and cheese cake! The place has an authentic French aura, and next door you can buy French baquette!

I've been here twice this year and find the hot chocolate and cappuccino superb; fabulous treats for a sweet tooth too - love the cakes.

It's hard to beat the coffee here. Staff morale can be hit and miss, so at times I feel they could add value by engaging customers and being a little 'happier', but the coffee ... it's always perfect and it's a great little spot to read the paper or chat. Sassafras is full of other awesome things to do, so... More

The service is wonderful and the staff are really friendly!! The baguettes they have are baked fresh and are full of flavour and not dried.. Had a lovely lunch here and I was really impressed!!

I've been to this café many times in a year. They have varieties of cake to choose from and they are just divine! I keep going back there and this place never disappointed me. Just the best cakes you can ever find in the area and also one of Melbourne.

We went on a very busy Sunday and it was packed fortunately a table left as we entered so we got to sit down straight away. We were just after coffee & cake but they seem to have an extensive menu. Coffee was below par, Cake was sensational. Chocolate & Hazelnut Cheesecake & a raspberry & white chocolate cheesecake were... More

Last Sunday we decided to drive towards Mount Dandenong to find a place for Lunch, something different to a restaurant or hotel, we arrived at the thriving town of Sassafras, not far from the summit of Mount Dandenong. After a stroll around the shops and viewing the menu's in the cafe windows, we decided to give Cafe de Beaumarchais a... More
