If you are in the area and are interested in a quality meal, this is definitely a great place to go. We were staying in an All-Inclusive in Puerto Vallarta and made a special trip out to this location. Because we were with good friends and we had allowed time to walk down to the "Night of the Iguana" walk... More

We went here and had the best meal of our trip to Puerto Vallarta. We would have gone back every night if we had been staying longer! My husband had the red snapper and said it was the best he has ever eaten. (He gets red snapper whenever we travel) I had six shrimp--two wrapped in coconut and with mango... More

We've been here 4 times already this trip and are going back in 2 hours again. Ask for Herman or Cesar...they are super sweet and friendly waiters. The food is fresh and the location is quaint and unique. Sand on the floor on the 3rd level. Great local restaurant!

Tony's is a little bit out of the way, on the road up to the zoo. Owned by one family. Mama does the cooking. Dad does greetings. Son (Cesar) is waiter. All the seafood is daily fresh caught. Prices are in pesos, but they give a good rate of exchange. Very reasonable! Well worth the effort.

It's cute: sand on the floors, very rustic, in a typical non-touristy barrio. The margarita did not have alcohol in it. The prawns were smothered in sauce: were they really prawns? The garlic prawns had good flavor, the prawns in bacon (how can anything with bacon not be great?) were overwhelmed by the bacon. Served with rice - OK; boxed... More

Great atmosphere!! Open air dining room with a beach sand floor and a thatch roof over looking the quaint city lights. Intimate dining tables include white linen tables clothes and candle light. The owner, Tony and his son's are very attentive and create a very inviting atmosphere! The menu is a platter with a variety of meat and seafood brought... More

We visited Tony's Hideaway more than 12 years ago and loved it with its palapa roof and sand floors. It sits high on the hill so that you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The food is fantastic!!! We went again and I was so impressed. All of my memories were brought back to live. Not only that but the cost... More

One of my FAVORITES in PV. The menu...well, there isn't one. They just bring you a tray with what's available. Tony's wife does the cooking. Huge bacon wrapped shrimp. Great wait staff. Location is funny to get to, and climbing those stairs, but love the view and atmosphere. All dinners I've seen and tasted were terrific. Don't miss this little... More

Went to Tony's while on vacation in Puerto Vallarta! Probably the most unique restaurant I've ever been to. The food was incredible, the service was outstanding, and the environment made the evening truly memorable! I highly recommend.
