Last week I made a reservation for Tuesday 9/10/18 for my partner and I's anniversary. When we arrived, the restaurant was closed! My partner was very unhappy. What kind of a restaurant takes reservations on days they're closed? Absolutely terrible.

Had Saturday lunch there. The food was delicious and enjoyable. The service was good for most of the time except the sweets which took ages to come out. They were busy with a few groups and Uber eats but need to make the people in...More

Last visit was disappointing. The service is very slow. We found people receiving meals before us when they had arrived well after us. The staff kept apologising but service did not improve. The food was fairly average. It is a shame as it was one...More

Unlike your ordinary restaurant, this venue is established on the very grounds of the former Minchinbury Winery heritage estate dating back to 1860. The place is kinda hidden and with the quite surrounding you will feel like you’re out of town for a while. You...More

Nice restaurant tucked away from the hustle and bustle with good quality food. I had the salmon for lunch and it was flavoursome and cooked perfectly. Service was ok but not to the standard of other restaurants and the food took a bit long to...More

Description
The Distillery Woodfire Restaurant is a unique eatery established on the very grounds of the former Minchinbury Winery heritage estate (and Penfolds) in Minchinbury dating back to 1805. In 2013 this once abandoned site began transforming into a breathtaking restaurant maintaining much of the rustic charm of the precinct. Original fixtures were left untouched, including beams, stairs and the large beehive well which once supplied water to the Distillery on display at the entrance. Today, the Distillery presents as a spectacular museum showcasing the forgotten culinary history of Western Sydney, only 45 minutes from the CBD and approx 10 minutes from Parramatta. Together with head chef, Cherag Baria, diners can experience the fresh contemporary menu, for lunch or dinner, while enjoying a delightful historical journey. The menu features a delicious modern take on traditional recipes. A range of herbs, vegetables and edible flowers are grown onsite guaranteeing freshness. Ingredients are sourced daily from local and respected farms and suppliers. The restaurant is fully licensed and diners can enjoy a selection of quality wines. The spacious establishment features a refined rustic indoor eatery and the covered retractable roof outdoor area caters for up to 98 seated guests. Patrons can even take a heritage walk and explore the grounds. Event planners are available and can assist with birthdays, christenings, corporate functions and all occasions. Come in and dine with us... experience the re-making of history.
