Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Spent a great afternoon enjoying the ambience, food and wine. The staff were attentive with the service, couldn't fault them. The Shiraz was outstanding and the local Toffs beer was a pleasant change.

Beautiful winery. Great atmosphere, pleasant staff, beautiful outlook. The pizzas and grazing plates were delicious and great wines to accompany. We went with a large family group and it was perfect.

I have been here multiple times and have always found the staff and owners very welcoming and friendly. The wines 🍷 especially the Durif, Shiraz and Monty are bloody gorgeous - coupled with a "the lot" pizza with chilli and anchovies as a side. Great...wine, great atmosphere, great views - great people. What more do you want! My father in law ( travels from the UK) to see us - supposedly! but first thing he wants to do is to head up for a bottle of Durif and a cheese platter. Over 15000 km is a long way to come.. but he loves it that much. No more need to be said.More

Food, wine ok. Undertrained junior staff and rude senior staff. Only worried about making $$ and not the experience!!!

Great winery overlooking the valley. The pizza and salami cheese platter was delicious. Wine was very smooth and easy to drink!

A family member had a function here. All I can say is that the hospitality service here is very mediocre. From The moment we walked in the OWNER of the winery didn’t even look up to welcome us. I don’t know about anyone else but...during these terrible covid times if I was a business owner of a winery, I would be grateful people were even walking through my door. Anyway, I found the staff to be on auto pilot with no personalities. They were all young so they could have had a big night the night before. All the above are the NEGATIVES. The POSITIVES, their rosè Sangiovese was 👌🏽really good. I bought a bottle to take home. Cheese platters and Pizzas were delicious.More

My family dined at Tenafeate Creek Winery for Easter Saturday and were welcomed by fantastic, friendly and professional staff upon arrival. I made my booking via email request and was delighted that my request for an inside table to accommodate my elderly mother on a...walking frame was addressed. We started a tab upon arrival which made ordering much easier and stress free. The facility has had a recent overhaul and the entrance / tasting counter area is now extremely spacious and light/bright, it looks so welcoming. Our pizzas were delicious and as our eyes were bigger than our stomachs we were able to take our left overs away in a take-away pizza box. We thoroughly enjoyed our wines and at the end of our sitting were treated with delicious coffees to end our perfect day with. If you haven't made a trip to Tenafeate Creek winery please do yourself a favour and get out there. The views from the dining area are to die for and there are so many gorgeous areas to take photos in to capture your memories. Family friendly - kid friendly and a must do for wine and pizza loversMore

Enjoyed the view, the pizza and a glass of the Rose. Although there is only a small menu of tasty pizzas and other casual style nibbles, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there relaxing with our family. We will certainly go back - such a pleasant...place to have lunch and spend an afternoon.More

The pizza choice is not huge, the cheese plate is OK, the bruschetta is fine, the wine is pretty good. The setting is terrific. You can sit and relax outside or under cover, eat palatable food, sip a great selection of wines (or beer) and...have one of the best views. What a great afternoon. This place does not pretend to be a top class restaurant, it offers you a great place to sit, eat drink and enjoy the surroundings. To me it scores ten out of ten, because it achieves everything it promises. I love the place, and if you want a relaxing afternoon, perfect place to come. I wish their was more places like this around. Not complicated, do small things but do them well.More

Just a lovely spot, with a great view, tasty (simple) food, and enjoyable sparkling. Caters for couples, like us, or larger family groups. Two sittings on Sundays, but we are going on Saturday with another couple - just nice!

Had lunch at this really lovely looking winery. A bit disappointed with menu you cannot deviate from menu so pizza's are not made fresh. Starters and meal were really tasty. I had the Dakka starters and Margherita pizza. They do get booked out quickly so you...really need to book, also have two seatings. Was quite pricey and you can only get certain wines by the glass. For a winery I think $10 for a glass of wine is overpriced. Think they want you to buy the bottle which these days with someone having to drive is not really very responsible. Wineries have no middle man so should be cheaper than hotels. Service was really great when we first got there but died down once we got our food. Still lovely winery and great scenery. Also very big for a winery i reckon you could fit around 300 people,More

My friends and I enjoyed a very relaxing afternoon at Tenafeate Creek Winery this Queens Birthday long weekend. Upon arrival for their 1st seating at 11 am we ordered a cheese platter to share which was moreish. After ordering wines we enjoyed delicious pizzas in...the warm enclosed dining area while watching the rain over the hills. Following wine, cheese and pizza we all enjoyed a hot coffee before having to head off to allow for the staff to set up for their 2nd seating for the day. I would highly recommend Tenafeate Creek Winery for a relaxed location to host your next 'girls day out', birthday/anniversary celebration or any other special occasion as the atmosphere is brilliant and the wine, cheese platters and pizzas are to die for. The dining area is perfect for any weather condition - be it rain, hail or sunshine as the area has retractable blinds so they can open up the area and set up an outdoors seating area during the warmer weather but offer warm, enclosed areas during the winter months. Second visit, we booked 5 adults 2 children (one a newborn) birthday lunch for my daughter, an extremely hot day, we asked for a table in the shade, which was denied and only on insistence managed to obtain a sloping seating semi-shade, however the venue...was not fully booked, and the request was not received well. Pizzas are the main fare on offer, and they were good, with gluten free option available. Wine list great, but only available by the bottle, not acceptable for couples dining as either or both would be over the limit to drive home! I would not recommend this venue, apart from the scenery (amazing), pizza (great) and if you are willing to overlook very poor service do it for the view!More
