Came to La Muralla with a tour group after visiting El Yunque, and of course everyone was famished. We bellied up to the service counter and were welcomed warmly, served enthusiastically and the staff went out of their way to be sure we ordered exactly what we wanted. Cash is always welcome, though they do accept credit cards. An assortment... More

This establishment is design for tourists and is overpriced for the Unflavored Puertorrican food. Definitely an unpleasant experience. If you are hungry after visiting El Yunque wait until you get out onto the side of the road, you will have a much better experience, good food and fairly priced.

We dined on fried beef tacos, pizza empanada, chicken kebobs, along with rice and beans. I had a pina colada and my husband had a beer. All was tasty, but my personal fav was the taco with their homemade hot sauce which they was served on the table. The owner was very friendly!

There aren't that many choices in El Yunque, so La Muralla fills a need. I would recommend that you get simpler things (fried plantains, rice and beans, for example). They also have a meat grilling station if you want a bigger meal. Considering that they could gouge their guests, they deserve credit for their moderate pricing. The gift shop is... More

We were brought here to this little “shack” (– for lack of a better word—) for lunch as part of our El Yunque guided tour. We ordered some Chicken Tacos, Yellow Rice with Beans, and Sheesh Kabobs from an outside vendor. The food was surprisingly flavorful and tasty, and the prices were quite inexpensive. The Pina Colada was strong and... More

We were on a land tour of Puerto Rico when our guide suggested we stop here for lunch. All we can say is "WOW!" My wife commented this was the best meal she had while we were on our vacation - and we were on a cruise ship the whole week. The Special (rice, beans and baked yucca) was incredible... More

Stopped for lunch. Great selection of local type foods. Tried many different samples and all were good.

We grabbed a quick bite here later in the afternoon after hiking most of the day in El Yunque. While the coffee was out, there were plenty of pasteles to be had. Pick your filling and they fry it up right there so you get it nice and hot. The seafood pasteles are OK, but the stars are really the... More

My partner and I stopped here while in the rainforest. Very rustic looking, good authentic food and terrific customer service. Cash is best used, since they occasionally have difficulties with wi-fi connections for their credit card machine.
