As a family that resides all over Australia, we stayed in Ivanhoe so we could visit our ill mother. We were so impressed with this Restaurant we went 2 nights in a row, food was delicious and service was outstanding. Thank you all XXX

Our anniversary Saturday night dinner (lots of years) and the Tripadvisor reviews convinced us to give Vasko's a go. Stylish although we were seated in the lower section adjacent to the bar so it was a tad noisy throughout the evening. However, our waitress, Maria,...was terrific all night - advising us on anything we needed. The service was prompt early and settled into great timing between courses - allowing the right breaks as necessary. The food was between good and excellent all night. The entrees - dips and spreads were superb as were the arancini balls. My wife loved her spaghetti marinara and my pork belly was first-rate. We even had desserts because we just didn't want to miss out on anything. Will definitely be back.More

a family affair with dad in the kitchen, mum front of house and two boys between the two - we let the family decide our fare and were not disappointed a fine mix of mediterranean foods from slow cooked meats, seafood, salads to some ripping...desserts i tried the so called Sicilian specialty though my born n bred Syrscusian mate hadn’t heard of it - but hey he’s from the uneducated south - the dish from the north - so vanilla bean ice cream with olive oil and roasted capers - sounded that bad i couldn’t resist but i’m a convert - try it you’ll be surprised great food , great company aided by delightful hosts and very reasonably pricedMore

Typical Saturday night last minute decision..... let's get out for a meal, let's go local. Vasko in Upper Heidelberg Road was able to accommodate us! Highlights: Warm welcome Friendly staff The Rocking special (my wife can be fussy, but she raved!) The Prawn pasta (can...be hit or miss but it hit!!) Went to a function here last week. Things were pretty well managed in the good space at the back. Mercifully, the food was good and plentiful and there was ample seating. The staff did a great job too. Nice place.

We have been going to Vasco for some time now on a semi-regular basis for lunch during the week. The food is consistently good and the staff are always friendly and obliging. We would highly recommend. Has a great lunch time special Menu. Love the...Risotto - me the chicken and husband the mushroom. Very tasty. The 3 cheese Chicken parmigiana is also a hit with a delicious tomato sauce.More

I am absolutely appalled by the customer service I just experienced at this establishment. I previously had a good experience at this restaurant and thought I would treat my friends to a night out. We didn’t have a reservation but thought we’d arrive early in...the hope of securing a table. The waiter was polite and led us to our table. Drinks were ordered soon after and arrived in a timely manner. After that we waited, waited and waited. After 60 minutes of waiting with no check in from the waitress she eventually made her way over and apologised for the wait and asked if we wanted to order some garlic bread. We politely declined and asked how much longer the wait would be to which she responded the food should be ready in 15 minutes. 5 minutes later a male waiter approached us and also apologised for the delay and explained that it was quite a busy night. I acknowledged his apology and continued to wait. The food finally arrived and it was delicious. Probably because we had been waiting for 1.5 hours and were eating our own intestines by this point! We wrapped things up and made our way to the register when my friend politely mentioned to I’m assuming the owner (middle aged lady with dark hair) that it was rather disappointing that we had waited for over an hour and no further apology was offered or discount applied. The owner appeared to be quite taken aback by our comment and continued to ask “if we had walked in or did we actually make a reservation?” To which my friend responded that “I understand we didn’t have a reservation, however you could’ve mentioned how long of a wait it would been for food” she responded with “What do you want me to say?! It’s the busy Christmas period what do you expect?” In a defensive manner. Hands down this would have to be the most disappointing customer service I have ever encountered. Do not go here!More

We were disappointed with Vasko because it was so noisy. Five of us ate a meal but we could barely hear each other. The food was good but a long time coming. We were offered bread while we were waiting, probably at a cost!More

We always enjoy our meals at Vasco. The owners are friendly and the food great. Am I getting old ? The waitress who served us the other night had her boobs hanging out. Like a bit of cleavage but this would turn you off your...food. Mystery is so much nicer. Put them back where they belongMore

Wow what a night we had last night for our first Anniversary, at the start of the night all the specials were provided to us and my partner ordered the pene and I ordered the Balkan and they tasted magnificent and melted in our mouths....Will be back Thank you for an amazing eveningMore

We dropped in for dinner on a Friday night. There was a function in progess at the time, the staff were great. They were attentive and the food was great too. I must compliment the kitchen, they were keeping up with huge platters for the...party and the restaurant - well done! Everything came out in a timely manner and nicely presented. It was a little noisey but, that's expected. I would sit nearer to the front of the restaurant if you have problems with noise and hearing.More

Recently had my 21st / going away party at Vasko. Nothing but compliments for the family run business! They were extremely flexible and accommodating to what I requested in regards to food (incl. allergies), decorations, bar tab and other services I hired (DJ & photographer)....The back function room was a great size for the 100 ish guests who attended for the cocktail party. It presents itself in a modern and trendy way, receiving compliments from guests as they entered. Would recommend and definitely go back for another function or dinner (the food was amazing!)More
