Laid back, friendly service, nice coffee and cakes. Have had meals here and just coffee and each time happy with what we have received. There 8 years so must be okay.

Nice quiche however very small side salad, Undercooked chips that were really wedges, burnt bacon in dry roll. Dirty water glasses and sticky table Staff dashing around with No one checking on your food until you have finished so too late to mention any issues.

Ordered a BLT bagel and a kids pancake for my son - simple enough dishes. Pancake was half cooked sludge, and the blt - burnt dry bagel (had to repeatedly ask for some butter - which when it came was rock hard), poorly cooked bacon, the tiniest sliver of tomato, and heaps of nasty bitter lettuce. We ate very little... More

This delightful cafe is situated at the top end of the shopping strip not far from the Library and Town Hall. It is run by Paul, a friendly host who will accommodate any wish you may have around the delightful daily specials. It's a small cafe, and some days one needs to book as it does tend to be busy... Ordered poached eggs on toast with spinach. Not much effort is put into the presentation of the breakfast. Very bland and boring. As I was eating the breakfast I noticed a worm in my plate from the spinach. I called the manager and asked him to take the breakfast away because I could not eat it any more. He insisted... More

Great little cafe in heart of Ivanhoe. Weekly specials board is a great idea, the food was fresh and and full of flavour. I had the Cured ocean trout with beetroot hummus, my wife had the Cripsy Prosciutto with sun dried tomato pesto and Fetta.....Absolutely AMAZING. We then decided to treat ourselves to something sweet and a little cheeky, Ricotta... More

This cafe is an absolute gem! Not only are the staff extremely friendly and attentive, but the coffee and food is the best in Ivanhoe! The owner always remembers everyone's names and orders which is just such a nice touch. With an ever changing specials menu, do yourself a favour and head here for an awesome breakfast and quality coffee!

I went to cafe ivanhoe and had the worst experience. My partner ordered the Eggs Benedict and it was inedible, the server boy was great and very understanding and even offered to make it again and we declined and just order chips. My partner had only taken one bite and couldn't continue because the apple cider vinegar was so overpowering... More

One of our party had eggs Benedict. The sauce was so overpowered by vinegar it was inedible. Whilst our waiter was apologetic and took the uneaten food away immediately, the gentleman in charge who I can only assume to be the owner was aggressive and extremely rude. The care factor for his customers was 0% yet the amount charged was... More
