First went to Nepal in 1989, and fell in love with the place and the people. I have now visited 15 times, a couple of serious expeditions (6000 metres +) with groups of friends, and 12 treks, all with friends/family, and recently eight days rafting the Karnali river, and this year the Sun Khosi.. The trips have been mainly to the mainstream trekking areas - Khumbu, Annapurna Sanctuary, Annapurna Circuit, Langtang, Rolwaling, and have included episodes of rafting, Chitwan, and generally soaking up the culture.
I am fascinated by the country, and am happy to share the experience. I hope that I may help others to get as much as possible from their visit, whilst emphasising respect for the people, culture, and environment.
I am now happily retired, and travelling both within the UK and to Europe with my wife, to the Alps with friends, to Ireland to visit our son, daughter-in-law, and grandsons, and to Nepal
