I was the only person here. It's off the beaten path, and you'll take many steps. If you keep walking around the neighborhood at the top you'll see a summit where you can get even better views. I took public transit here from down town and it's uphill the whole way. Being out of shape is not fun hahaha.
Neat little rocky park. Almost-360 view, excepting the high points of twin peaks to the east. Probably great for the sunset too. Start with the 16th ave steps and continue up, can come down the other side instead of you like (a bus stop is just a couple blocks away).

Visible from afar, this stunning church is beautiful both inside and out.
With striking facade features such as the exquisite frieze that embellishes the entrance area, the asymmetrical towers and not to mention the attractive colour, it is delightful to gaze upon.
Walking in is to see the vast nave culminating in the impressive dome over the altar segment. Corinthian...
Grew up in San Francisco and never knew about this park. Likely unless you live in the residential neighborhood surrounding this park you would have no idea about it. That said looking thru neighborhood sights, I decided to look for this park and discovered a serene natural setting.
Park has a children's playground which is protected by a low cyclone...
A treat to experience their crabs and other sea foods. Good food and great service. My only surprise was the check. I forgot to ask “market price” before we all ordered. It’s all good but also expensive.
I ended up going here to meet an old high school friend for lunch. The menu is HUGE with pretty much something for everyone. Service was excellent and the prices are very, very fair. We spent about three very comfortable hours there. It went very quickly!

My husband wanted to go here because he saw it on Food Network. Places was small but packed. Food was delicious! We loved every bite. Totopos con chile was the best app, Torta de Pollo Avovado for lunch was our favorite. With a side of guac it was all perfect. Great service too. Would definitely go back.
So good! If you’re by Golden Gate Park it’s a must. We got the Santa Fe (sausage, eggs, green onions, cheese, and salsa) and the Santorini (walnuts, pistachios, cinnamon, mascarpone, and coconut). It was phenomenal
Plentiful portions, good value in this small casual Japanese restaurant.
Drawbacks include the lack of tables for four or more forcing long waits to get one .
Staff efficient and cordial. Good food .
Altogether merits 3 1/2 stars rather than four.
The property’s 24 retro-style rooms have cedar paneling behind the beds and bedspreads with pale pink and white stripes. Larger rooms have kitchenettes with stoves and refrigerators; some of the kitchen fixtures are rusted, but rooms are generally clean. All have flat-screen TVs and coffeemakers. Rooms facing the street come with earplugs to lessen the noise of the outside trams,...
The hotel has upgraded its rooms which are very comfortable, clean, nice bed, tv with all channels, coffee maker, microwave, fridge. The carpet in the hallways have stains. There is no elevator. There was often no one at the front desk. It’s quiet, across the street from the zoo, free parking, great coffee shop next door, easy to get downtown...
The room was clean, better than I expected based on reviews. Bathroom was remodeled, current. THERE IS NO BREAKFAST. I tried twice, even asked the desk clerk - nothing. Parking is limited, but free. Neighborhood felt safe. Sleeping was rough: the streetcars outside have a turn-around area that woke me up repeatedly. Not many guests when I was there.

Location - you are directly across from both the beach and Golden Gate Park. The N Line on the Muni is down the street. There is plenty of free parking at the hotel as well as on the street.
Disliked · Room 110: When we checked in, we were only given 3 bath towels. We were missing hand/face towels. There...
We did not expect a 5-star accommodation when booking at this motel, but went ahead since it was close to where other family members were staying when in town for a wedding. It is run-down, but rooms appeared fairly clean and we did not plan to stay in the rooms other than to sleep and dress.
If the beach is...
