Just back from a must see: "Direct from Death Row: The Scottsboro Boys" an unbelievable performance by last years cast. Amazing direction by Michael Menedian and great screen play by Mark Stein. Great theater.
I stopped in to make presents for family members. Many choices and decided on Christmas Plates! Had tremendous fun creating my own designs. Thought I would do one, did several. No rush, relaxing. Music in background and owners were incredibly helpful. Can’t wait to get back. Great thing about the plates, those receiving have something totally unique!
Curated vintage, so no "junk"...75 dealers with cool decorative items and a really interesting variety (lots of furniture, fashion and jewelry, world's fair, posters, historic collectibles, lighting, books, paper & advertising, china, you name it). Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Mid-Century, etc. A must-see destination.
"Magical sweets near Loyola University Chicago Lakeshore Campus"
reviewed 6 August 2019 by Iggie28
About 5-10 minute walk from Loyola Chicago Sheridan Campus. Great place for deserts and for those with sweet tooth. Price is very reasonable. My personal favorite is anything with peanut butter. Service is fast. They often have long lines in the evening during weekends or holidays. Still worth coming here though for sweet cravings. Parking might be a challenge.
Ethiopian Diamond is one of our neighborhood go-to restaurants. The servers are always very friendly. The food is delicious! It has vegetarian options as well as lamb, beef, chicken, shrimp and tilapia. We always leave satisfied but overly stuffed!
The greek food is great. They have Greek chicken, Gyros, beef sandwiches and much much more. I have tried almost everything they serve, and have never been disappointed. The staff and the owner are always friendly and helpful. You need to go there with your family and friends, you will be back.
Is this the best neighborhood bar in town? Nope. But it's here and it's ready to rock. It's not fancy, no credit cards, no free Wifi or anything.
But if you want a beer and to chill out with some real people, this is your spot.
