People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.

"So much to see"

Take a walk along The Bund and you will see many sculptures and monuments. There was a large bronze bull, a statue of Chairman Mao and the tall monument to the People's Heroes. There are lots of flowers too, both horizontally and vertically!
We were told about this attraction in a taxi on our way to our hotel and thought we should check it out - we were not disappointed - this place was amazing, especiallu the floor devoted to a scale model of Shanghai! What a feat of workmanship and givers an amazing insight as to just how big this city is...

Interesting place with a huge garden sculpture that was quite incredible. The museum is there along with a very nice shop. There is a queue at the museum. We were followed a bit by a Chinese lady for some reason but lost her when she got distracted in a pharmacy lol. Maybe we were too boring.
Price are quite pricey than the other Madame Tussauds. I'm glad that I could see my favourite HK singer Aaron Kwok and Legendary Taiwanese singer, Dèng Lìjūn (Teresa Teng). If you knew a lot about singer, people in entertainment industry, actors and actresses from China, HK and Taiwan then this place you must visit in Shanghai!
Food is a bit pricy as expected, ok food but not excellent.
We ordered Irish coffee, the waiter assured us there was whiskey in it but it can't have been much because we could not taste it.
Come here for the view, it was cloudy when we visited but we still enjoyed watching the nearby roofs and buildings.
They served a small sample of smoked meats to chose form. This is the first time I tried reuben sandwich and it is awesome - we usually go for lunch from our office and everyone likes it. Beers are also decently priced. Fries with the sandwich are super tasty and flavorful. If too hungry can also choose super size sandwich...
Large breakfast buffet in the Radisson Hotel overlooking the park (as name implies).
Large selection at the buffet, good Chinese selections like make your own soup and lots of dim sum.
Good breads, fruits and yogurts.
It’s a bit hectic, but service was good. This is an airline crew hotel and crew members grab the window tables early in the...
"Unassuming Restaurant Facade with Yummy Dumplings"

Upon entrance to the restaurant, I wondered if I was in the correct location (we were sent here on the recommendation of a friend who hadn't told me about the "hole in the wall" ambiance). Definitely more fast food style than other restaurants we ate at during our visit to Shanghai, I was a bit wary at first as we...
This place I will remember for the rest of my life. As a big foodie I was just amazed how flavorful meals in Yershari restaurant were. Meat is absolutely tasteful, side pitas were also great and the signature yoghurt just wonderful.
Entertainment was pretty good too however I was all busy with my food.
Definitely worth a visit. Of course...
J.W. Marriott tomorrow square
It a good modern and efficient hotel and in a nice location, adjacent to Peoples Park.
I’m a big fan of Marriott hotels as most of my business life is with this group. This good hotel and boasts the world’s highest library. The hotel is 15 years old, spotlessly clean and well run. Take advantage of...
The Whole Experience was ABOVE AND BEYOND! From the room to the Service this Hotel went above and beyond to make sure the experience was Perfect. The location was perfect for a tourist visit.
We were close to everything we wanted to see and do.
Visiting our son who was studying in Shanghai and stayed at the Le Royal Meridien Hotel
Fantastic location right on Nanjing Road, close to the Bund and all the shops, bars and restaurants right at door stop
Staff very welcoming and the concierge were extremely helpful and they have variety of multi-lingual staff to assist
Rooms on higher levels were...
It’s location in Shanghai cannot be beaten directly overlooking People’s Square. The views from the Sky Dome Bar and 45th Floor restaurant are unrivalled. The hotel is well run and the staff extremely professional and attentive.
Super hotel, Art deco decor and very central. A short walk to the Bund along a mainly pedestrian street. Easy to spot with its crown top. Breakfast good options as with all China. As with all China, dont expect many to speak English but it felt very safe walking around.
