The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
The Museum has lots of valuable things to see and quite educational value has.

This magnificent temple, built in 276 AD is incredibly beautiful. The architecture is magnificent; a beautiful temple with a courtyard, where worshippers burn incense and pray. It's a sacred place, and feels so. There's something to see everywhere - the gorgeous chairs where people place coins on their edges, the buddhas, the golden carp and elephants that adorn the buildings....
It was new year eve and decided to pay this museum a visit since it's just a few metro stops away.
The flow of visit will require the visitors to start from 2nd floor and all the way down to Basement 2. The architectural design of this building was such that even Basement 2 is able to see sunlight and...

"Huge and safe "
reviewed 28 November 2019 by dubaiblogger
The place is huge and can accommodate a number of people and the scenery is so beautiful. Attended a travel fair there and I really enjoyed how it looked and how easy it was going with public transportation, like 5 minutes walk from the MTR. Very safe also
Possibly the finest coffee I’ve ever tasted. Expensive, so if you’re only after hot dirt, there are plenty of other places that can deliver. For the epicurean, this is a haven of goodness. DC is a maestro of his craft and is more than happy to indulge his technique.
I came here nursing a hangover and left with a spring...
Had a delicious dinner early on a Saturday night (5pm) so not crowded yet. Was filling up by 6:30 when we left and solid takeout business as well. Thom Kai Gai soup had outstanding flavor, veggie spring rolls hot and crisp, both of our curry dishes (green and Panang) were wonderfully spicy. No room for dessert. I’d come back for...
Great service got me an early check and the hotel was very comfortable. Very helpful staff and very good location for my trip. Bonnie and Zoe on the check in desk were very friendly. The hotel is very stylish
Great food. And they are so friendly. A cozy evening with friends in perfect atmosphere! Great Mediterranean cuisine! I had the baby chicken, perfectly cooked! Try the crab salad as starter, amazing! Finished with Tiramisu and Espresso. A great experience.
This is the perfect hotel for short/long stays in Shanghai. The rooms and bathroom are super spacious and have a very good lay-out. The overall design is modern, yet it maintains a stylish Asian aesthetic without being very loud as some of the Bund/typical 5 star chains.
Location wise this is the 2020 sweet spot: right in the middle between...
It was New Years Eve. I was at the Jingan Shangri-la Spa. I came out after 7pm and met a new friend from US near the Elevator. We went to the lounge and chatted almost an hour. Around 8pm he went to join the Jingan Shangri-la New Years Eve festivities and I decided to spend the night at the Bund....

Great service, amazing room and a really good club lounge - it is close to perfect. It will be my preferred hotel in Shanghai in the future. I will be back. Book a room with access to the Club Lounge.
I stayed at Intercontinental Shanghai Jing´an for 3 nights. I took a taxi from Pudong airport, it...
