This photo in the previous review looks like Shezhaung temple behind Jinxiu Dong Lu. That's certainly worth looking out. It's now an oasis of old in the land of new - and the rubble before the old becomes new! Lovely little gem and well worth looking out.
I walked down from Jinqiao International Commercial Plaza. I t was a 25 minute walk. In a large building with an English "Shanghai Restaurant" over head. There are multiple stores that sell fish for aquariums. Salt water and fresh water the normal varieties as well as some i did not recognize. I saw one store that sells birds, he had...
Had a magnificent Chinese banquet with family here. We were in a side room which had 2 big tables. We’ve had quite a few banquets, but this has to rate as one of the best. Excellent mandarin fish, perfect Grandmothers pork and great dumplings all helped make the event pass well.
Hotel is situated in a quiet residential area. Upside its quiet but downside there are no real restaurants nearby.
Hotel tries to be western oriented but are still very Chinese.
Only one person speaks English but all staff were very friendly and tries to help as best they can.
Rooms seem fairly new, are clean and a good size for...
This hotel was very hard to find and was very far out from the city and all the tourist sites, and was not within walking distance of the metro.
There was also building works at the time when we stayed, and the air conditioning had a very strange smell.
however, when we complained about our room, we were promptly changed...
I would describe this as a business hotel, the rooms are lovely and breakfast is great. We stayed as a family and they only place to eat was the shopping centre, for one night that was fine. That said, it was convenient to the metro.
Very old & dirty building. Our room toilet bowl was jammed & very dirty. We will never stay here again. Please avoid from booking this lousy motel. Every night, prostitution advertisement card is slip beneath our room door.
