Khamovniki could be considered a city of its own – here it’s possible to find some of Moscow’s most important cultural institutions such as the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Novodevichy Convent and Trubetskikh Estate, great sport locations such as Luzhniki stadium and aqua complex, and long and beautiful Luzhniki embankment. Pick your preferred form of transport to explore the area – bicycle or river cruise during the summer and taxi in winter as many of the great places are situated beyond a short walk.
Visiting the Tolstoy Moscow home was a great experience. I found it quite easily. Travelling from near Red Square, I took the metro and it was only a few stops and then a short 10 minute walk or so. It felt like the house was very much as the Tolstoys left it, a comfortable, well lived-in family home. There's lots...
Excellent place to spend time and see art. Multiple levels and multiple artists at the same time, not that crowded regarding art placement and people. Museum is in nice area so walk afterwards gives extra experience.

It was my first time in this bar, but after couple hours, great conversations, amazing drinks I have to come back!
I have to come back and check famous lunch and just come back to this amazing atmosphere. Where with people you just met, you feel like old friends, who didn’t see each other for some time.
Special, huge thanks...

Very quiet and lovely place for those who want to have good food.
Although it is a bit hard to find this place it worth visiting. This restaurant exists more than 15 years (which equals to a century for Moscow restaurant market). You can enjoy this place all year round. Guaranteed good food and very welcome atmosphere. Recently they installed...

The hotel is pretty new, located in the center, 5 minute walk from the metro station and if you are fit enough you can walk for about 20 minutes to the Red Square. Room was big, comfortable. Breakfast amazing with wide range of choices. I didn’t try the restaurant but the location was amazing so I guess the food was...
We stayed at the Arbat hotel during our second part of the journey. It is a good hotel with clean rooms, courteous staff and a good breakfast spread. Walking distance from all the fun in Arbat area. Their concierge services are on good and the hotel has an old world charm to it.
This hotel is tucked away and a little further from the main road - ref to main pic.
The hotel building is all red brick.
The lobby and corridors have seen better days and are remiscent of a past era.
As we were travelling with a group of friends, and this hotel was booked by our agent, we were pleasantly...
Stayed here for the Fifa World Cup matches and the hotel stay ticked most of the boxes.
location was convenient n close to metro so that was a big plus. Rooms are quite clean and decently sized for a quick stay.
