Excellent place to spend time and see art. Multiple levels and multiple artists at the same time, not that crowded regarding art placement and people. Museum is in nice area so walk afterwards gives extra experience.
This building is a short walk from the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. Unlike the latter it does not attract so many visitors and is all the better for it. It’s a beautiful sight set in well-maintained grounds; the interior is also worth a visit. Photos are not permitted inside.
This is a pleasant and amazing gallery. I personally feel that the size of the collection is just right for a nice afternoon outing (i sometimes feel a bit overwhelmed by the sheer size of the collection of the main museums).
Visit this with the Cathedral of Christ our Saviour (which is magnificent) and chill out in the garden. It...
Monuments & Statues, Points of Interest & Landmarks

I enjoyed learning again some small pieces of history with our guide explaining the story of Alexander II. Not so much to say about the statue itself, actually doesn’t impress me as most of the others visited.
The man at the front door needs to be trained how to greet visitors. He shouted brutally “wipe your shoes, wipe your shoes” in Russian as we entered. A horrible welcome even for these Soviet-hardened visitors.

It was my first time in this bar, but after couple hours, great conversations, amazing drinks I have to come back!
I have to come back and check famous lunch and just come back to this amazing atmosphere. Where with people you just met, you feel like old friends, who didn’t see each other for some time.
Special, huge thanks...

Very quiet and lovely place for those who want to have good food.
Although it is a bit hard to find this place it worth visiting. This restaurant exists more than 15 years (which equals to a century for Moscow restaurant market). You can enjoy this place all year round. Guaranteed good food and very welcome atmosphere. Recently they installed...

"Great Food, Wine and Staff"

My wife and I went there last night for Valentine's day and even though we waited late to make a reservation they accommodated us anyway. We had been there twice before. Once for dinner and another time for a wine tasting. The food is Italian and well prepared and not the usual that you get at most restaurants. They also...

"Very good steakhouse, absolutely worth a visit"

Above average price (for Moscow) but very good food.
If you are used to steakhouses in Chicago, London or New York, you will not be disappointed.
All the classical cuts are available, plenty of alternative cuts are on the menu too. Give those a shoot!
Flawless service, great food, superb desserts.
As of August 2019, I'd budget $50-$100 pp, depending...
The hotel is pretty new, located in the center, 5 minute walk from the metro station and if you are fit enough you can walk for about 20 minutes to the Red Square. Room was big, comfortable. Breakfast amazing with wide range of choices. I didn’t try the restaurant but the location was amazing so I guess the food was...
