You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
I couldn't stop thinking, what if the glass broke? I imagined a shark or some poisonous fish latching on to me!
I wasn't preoccupied with this.
I was too busy being amazed by the size of this aquarium and the presence of all of these beautiful creatures. Please make a point to visit this wonderful place.
Go to the top of the world's tallest building! 154 floors with a stop on a lower floor for the outside platform. My visit included some drinks and a snack which I wasn't interested in. I just wanted to experience the height.
Just below burj khalifa, and between burj khalifa and the dubai mall this fountain show is organized. there is no limit to entertainment. Watching water dance on melodious music is a amazing experience. Its completely free, starts in the evening around 6 (Time may vary) but do reach by 5:30 to get proper view of the show. Its for almost...

reviewed 3 weeks ago by stephan258
I LOOOOVE CANDY!! but either i was blind or they only had one sort of Oreos. i bought a lot of stuff there, glad i still dont have diabetes after eating all that sugar butttt i came there for Oreos and only found the original flavor which of course is delicious but i was looking for something more special.
Everything was a wonderful experience from the greeter, to the waitress Busi who was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu, timely and very friendly. If you go to the mall there are many choices but I got the ribeye with mashed potatoes and Greek salad it was perfection! Atmosphere is so welcoming. You must have their lemonade without mint...

Everything is perfect. The food, atmosphere and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Thank you to the staff especially to Miss Angie for helping me with the proposal on short notice. Highly recommended for those who are looking for the perfect place to pop the question to your special someone. We will definitely come back.
Moses the one assigned outside and the other filipino guy in the night shift was very helpful. Guest or not they treat everyone fairly. They were very nice and friendly. I hope their management could commend them for a job well done.
Every detail in this hotel was perfect. The Gym & spa are off the charts. The room was incredible (make sure you ask for a high floor facing the Burj). The bathtub was AMAZING. The food is great & the service is unparalleled in every place other than the bar. You can see the Burj from the pool deck and...
Had a very friendly welcome on arrival at Taj Dubai. All staff very friendly and helpful. Very impressed with the size of the room, the view looked out on the Burg Khalifa too which was pretty spectacular. There was a nice comfortable bed and plenty of tea and coffee, plus free bottles of water. Usefully for Brits, the electrical sockets...
Sofitel downtown has a very good location. Very closed to the dubai mall, only few minutes walking distance.
Rooms are large and mine had a nice view on burj khalifa.
Pool is nice as well and room service good.
Beautiful suite with fantastic views overlooking the lake , Dubaix Mall and Burj Kalifa tower .The hotel was within walking distance to a lot of important attractions. All the staff were very helpful and
courteous. The food in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. We enjoyed watching the fountain show in the evening from our sitting room.
