Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
Set in an original shop house, evocatively kitted out with period fittings, the museum provides an excellent overview of the Chinese experience in Singapore.
If anything, it is perhaps too detailed. I’m a history nerd and yet I still found my interest flagging towards the end. All the topics covered are interesting, it’s just a little exhausting!
Went into the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. Could only visit the first floor as a precaution for the corona virus. Five story building. Beautiful collection of Buddha figurines. Explained that people only go in one of the side doors of the three first floor entrances. The Gods us the center and people the two outside doors, at each
Walking tour took us into Sri Mariamman Temple, the oldest Hindu Temple in
Singapore. Our guide went into much more detail than we could ever possibly remember. He explained about the annual walking on the hot coals, the gods and other details of the Hindu religion.

Just within 5min walking distance from Chinatown MRT (Exit A), Temple Street (just beside the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple) has amazing wall murals that will capture your attention even from afar. Definitely great for anyone who likes to know a little more about the country and the local Chinese culture with some visuals. Great for photography as well.
It is definitely my few other visit back to Cure.
Cure is definitely one of the highlights along Keong Saik Road. They take great pride in their consistancy on their quality of food & service. Not to mention... wide selection of cocktails & wines!!! Dimly lit & cosy, this is a great place to bring your date, your spouse or...
The staff & service are excellent & strike that wonderful balance between professional, knowledgeable & friendly.
The ambience & decor are nice.
As for the food, it's very good but not amazing. It's hard to fault the food, it was all very good, but, at these prices I think you want something a little surpising, exceptional or different & it...
We had the chef surprise menu, but the chef came and chat with us. During this C19 my husband had 2 glasses of sant armettu white it as $20++ each. They charge us normal $52++ it was $80 per head after ++ the dishes were light n refreshing. Highly recommend, if you are around the corner. Btw it has one...
Definitely a nice place to hang out or have a date. The cocktails here are amazing! The drinks were served promptly. The food took some time but I'm guessing it's because of the crowd (it was a full house!). Overall, would recommend!
The the pictures of the cafe gave me the impression that it lacked space, but I was totally wrong. As I entered the cafe they welcomed me and showed me to my table on the upper floor, which had my name card (very professional) and the place was lit, super chick, well setup and was very welcoming and comfortable at...

This was a last minute, one night family staycation and I couldn't have been happier with the service provided by the staff, attentive and friendly.
Lovely brand new hotel, very clean, modern rooms and amenities e.g. swimming pool with superb view of the surounding building especially during nightime.
The decor and ambiance of the surrounding hotel topped the day off perfectly....
My partner and I were celebrating his birthday, and we picked Ann Siang House for its chic interior design and location. The stay more than exceeded our expectation - we were able to check in early to the Active Studio, which had gym equipment, a king size bed with the most comfortable mattress I’ve slept on, and a complimentary minibar....
More than a hotel, it's an experience. Six Senses Duxton is a unique and visually stunning hotel within the walls of heritage shop-houses. So many thoughtful touches were included at check-in and in our room. The hotel group practices sustainability and a lot of the food in the restaurant is organically grown by the hotel. All the staff are fabulous;...
