"Accessible and nostalgic nature walk in the city"
reviewed 4 days ago by nnhk
My regular weekly walk with my spouse and my 82 year old mom in the morning gives me some relief and workout during the covid19 pandemic. The paths are well designed and floras are so interesting. I was never bored. The forest walk which starts at Telok Blangah Hill park (with free parking) leads us to Alexandra Road, where we...
My friends & I went for a hike from Hort park to Henderson wave to Mt Faber. It affords us a fantastic view of a small manicured park, up a bridge that let us see tree top views towards Henderson wave and a nice stroll to Mt Faber. Approx 6-7km and 90 mins. Mostly shaded & breezy. Best to go...
Reflections at Bukit Chandu is a memorial to what a specific handful of soldiers did during the battle of Singapore. Which makes it a true memorial to individual men, unlike almost every other war memorial. I’ve visited battlefields from Pearl Harbor to Passchendaele, and few of them discuss any individual common soldiers. Gettysburg has lots of monuments honouring the battle’s...
"Delectable Porridge Steamboat - You’ll Want To Keep Going Back!"
reviewed 7 May 2019 by jeffreybose
I found out that Empress Porridge serves porridge steamboat at their Galaxis outlet at 1 Fusionopolis Place. Friends had been raving about this find for months. I arranged a 5pax family dinner there last week and was not disappointed. We ordered a porridge steamboat set which came with chicken, beef, red snapper fillet, prawns, meatballs and an assortment of quality...
Restaurant was as good as everyone has reviewed, and even better.
Had the Omakase set which came with the Omi A5 wagyu carpaccio, tagliolini hokkaido sea urchin with squid ink sauce, Miyazaki A5 wagyu tenderloin with gravy sauce. The appetiser blew our minds with the raw tender wagyu chips and ginger sauce. The tagliolini was thin, but came as a...
An unexpected find in the business district in the west area at Fusionpolis.
It was not so packed the afternoon I visited. The restaurant has 2 birthday celebrations that time. Seems like a nice place for group gathering. It has a patio for those who like the alfresco feel.
Food wise, I ordered the crab ravioli. It was simply amazing!...
In 2003, the original Colbar restaurant in Jalan Hang Jebat was closed. The building was dismantled and its parts were used to reconstruct this present place. The present building has an old world charm with lots of greenery surrounding it in Wessex Estate. Bus 191 travels along Portsdown road and the bus stop 18191 (Bef Whitchurch Road) is the stop...
Relaxation, Good Sleep and Good Rest!
Accessible, near to mall, eateries and transportation.
Helpful and Happy Staff to handle our every needs.
Room was Clean, Accessible and Have a Comfy Bed For a good night rest.
The location is very convenient, there is internal access to MTR One North and its foodcourt. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Although the room was spacious, it was a little tired looking. It had a '70 inspired decor which was 'kind of cool' but there were some permanent stains on the floor.
The gym is under cover, but...
Hotels plus are:

I would not recommend staying here unless you are doing something with the National University of Singapore, NUS. It is at least 20 minutes from the closest MRT stations, and it’s difficult to catch Taxis out front. The staff were friendly enough, but didn’t go out of their way to help us. The price is definitely reasonable for Singapore, but...
Needed to find a hotel around the NUS and NUH area to take care of my son who got into hospital. The friendly counter staff Herri and Jessica were helpful in administrative issues such as extending stay.
