"Temple and Monastery"
reviewed 20 December 2019 by plwh888
Our family had been visiting this temple for the longest time.
We like to come here for first for Blessing at the original main building, thereafter it is the Alm Giving Ceremony, although it is more like cooking food for the monk's lunch, rather than the traditional breakfast.
This is a temple with a monastery for the monks to live...
The 5.4-hectare Cyclist Park has two cycling circuits - Learner Circuit and Advanced Circuit - which allow beginners and more confident cyclists to practise various techniques. "Good for a nice evening stroll on the jetty over the sea"
reviewed 2 June 2019 by Pradip B
A very good place to have a stroll in the evening. We had been there in the late afternoon / evening hours. The Place is well-lit and have good seating arrangement. May be one has to be a bit cautious as cycling is very common and frequent along the jetty.

"Honouring the early and modern financiers of Singapore"
reviewed 4 weeks ago by macedonboy
This sculptural ensemble honours the early and modern financiers, who have contributed so much to the prosperity of Singapore. 3 characters are represented. An Indian Chettier, or money lender from South India, a Chinese clerk who would’ve managed the clearinghouses for banking and a female financier dressed in modern attire. It’s an unusual subject for a sculpture, but a nice...
There is a good variety of stores there to enjoy/try local hawker dishes.
Some of the local favorites that you must have there will be satay, sambal stringray, cockles and clams, fried oyster egg, grilled chicken wings and grilled crabs. Enjoy them with a coconut or beer. While the place is not air-conditioned, it is not that hot there because...
A delightful place for vegetarians and vegans. The ambiance is very informal but cosy.
The food menu is easy to use and there are around six types of burgers. We had Avacado Beetroot burger and Cracked Mayo burger. Both the burgers had high quality ingredients and tasted very fresh.
Overall it's a must visit for every vegetarian to explore the...
You can expect a crowd every morning during weekend for breakfast. The shop has great consistency for their broth and noodles. My favorite is the dry noodles with chili. If you are a big eater, don't miss out on the wu xiang. it's pretty good too. One small thing to note. Parking can be troublesome as lots are limited.
"A beautiful small hotel in the old town and close to the airport"
reviewed 15 November 2019 by Erik L
Have just been there! From Thailand... visa runs!!! One day trip... so it was important to find a good balance between distance from airport and price.
This was a terrific choice... cheap and in the middle of a lot of small shops and restaurants
Value for money!
The room was indeed rather small but everything else was perfect and made...
The hotel distance from airport is 10 to 12 km. Not too far from the airport, for a quick stay one night or two not bad at all. It was 2017 my first stay and it was Clean and Simple the staff was helpfull. Overall it is a good place.
