Carefree enthusiasm is everywhere in this energetic neighborhood centered on Hongik University, Korea’s top art school. From its assortment of murals to the occasional amateur street performances, creativity and expression make up the wild and beating heart of vibrant Hongdae. At the Free and Hope Market (weekends at the Hongdae Children’s Playground) you'll find one of Seoul’s most popular handmade and creative markets drawing consistent crowds. At Hongdae, there’s never a shortage of things to do and see; food and drink options are nearly endless as are shops and noraebang (karaoke) rooms. Hongdae is also one of Seoul’s top party and club scenes catering to a younger demographic; if a packed club isn’t your scene, you'll also find a range of music venues and bars offering live music in all genres. Although Hongdae has lost much of its unique appeal and undergone rapid commercialization in recent years, be sure to explore Hongdae’s edges in areas such as Sangsu-dong and Yeonnam-dong where Hongdae’s fiercely independent streak still runs freely.
It is very hard to write how much fun this place is, you enter a world where you are part of many 3D experinces its so real so when you are with dinosaurs blowing flames it is so real.
We spent a couple of hours there and enjoyed every minute.
Entry was about £12 best value ever
This area has many shops, restaurants and stalls around. Prices are relatively cheaper than in Myeongdong.
At night, there is a part of the street where the youth perform for free. They dance, sing, play instruments. It was very entertaining and the whole place was just so full of energy.
I was never in Love museum before, but I've heard that they are in Korea, and when I went to TrickEye museum, Love museum was also there so I went there. It was really amazing and nice, very cool experience, and made a lot of nice pictures. Even though museum is not that big, you definitely gonna like it!
It's a park in the middle of Seoul city, around Yeonnam-dong (near Hongdae). It surrounds with many nice cafe, restaurants and small shops. The space is quite large and cozy. Good for picnic and spending time with family, friends or love ones.
Have you ever heard about the combination of Chicken and Beer?
Neither you did nor did not, I strongly suggest you try it. This is amazing. Beer covers the chicken's oil. Wherever you can enjoy these, however, if you can visit the Han river with these, it would be the best. And this is my best brand of chicken.
"University of Cambridge had a great Birthday Night !"

I celebrated my birthday here with 30 others of my masters degree. I contacted Mikael before and he was very friendly and giving us special drinking deals for a big group. When we arrived we were immediately in paradise. As 90 kids, it was great to play Mario Cart, PacMan, Tekken etc. again. We also played Fifa18 on the big...
One of the best Jokbal you can have. Medium size KRW 35000 plentiful servings. Service better than people said. They are not very friendly but never rude mainly because that place is busy! I rather have quick service than chatty waiters. All menus with pictures you don’t need struggle to order in Korean. They don’t speak well English so they...
I can't say enough good things about this hotel. We had a week in Seoul as part of our honeymoon and this was our favourite of three similar hotels and in the best location. RYSE is new and trendy. The staff were excellent. The room had a brilliant design and an awesome view of the Hongdae area. We had free...
I stayed at this hotel for five nights and had very enjoyable and comfortable experience. My first impression of this hotel was how cool, modern and funky it was. The hotel checkin is on the 21st floor and the concierge are friendly and also speak fluent english. I had a corner room on the 17th floor and my room was...
We stayed here for our 5-day trip in Seoul. The location was great! It's very convenient for us to walk around Hongdae area or take subway to anywhere.
Also, there were so many restaurants nearby and we could eat all day long from morning to mid-night. The service was good and we couldn't ask for more.
Hotel is conveniently located above Hongik Station and easily accessible to Hongdae area. There are many cafes and eateries around the hotel as well as small shops for shopaholics. Hongik Station has direct train line to the airports, both Gimpo and Incheon, this makes it a convenient place to transit.
Since it is a new hotel, room is clean and...
Ok location, close to train station and some shopping. Suited to tour groups. Staff helpful but not so knowledgeable about the local area. Complimentary breakfast is basically a plate that is preprepared and dumped down in front of you, fortunately there are plenty of cafes and other options in the area. Rooms are clean, tidy and fairly spacious
