My husband and I were in Seoul in April and on our first day we figured we would try out or navigation skills. Let me tell you they were put to the test in trying to find this place. Even the locals and taxi drivers didn't know where it was. It is in an out of the way alley with...
"Under the tourist radar, gem of a private museum"
reviewed 28 June 2019 by choobengg2017
I read about this place in the local Seoul guide and was curious about the unique architecture - best accessed by taxi, as the two closest subway stations are a good 15 minute walk. A compact exhibition space over three floors and superbly displayed Korean ceramics, folk art and sutras. The private collection of a philanthropic Korean tycoon - plenty...

"Highly recommend! Amazing concoction of Asian / modern cocktail experience"
reviewed 3 weeks ago by BJC8912
Went with my girlfriend. Great location in the middle of a traditional Korean marketplace in Gangnam. Ambience is that of a classy whiskey bar but they serve super exotic and tasty cocktail infused with Asian apothecary that they source from local farmers.
The bartenders are super attentive and polite, which doubles the entire experience. Will def visit again
I really like the pork belly both spicy & soy sauce are good (the first on the menu, looks like rolled slice meat)
English menu available
Waitress can speak basic english as well
They gave you the seaweed soup & tofu soup as well
We stayed at Sheraton and here. According to Hotwire, Sheraton is a 5 star and this was a 4.5 star. First of all, I travel all over the world and Sheraton is a 4 star but what made their hotel is their exceptional service. This hotel, however, was magical! LOVED IT! 5 star all the way! When you walk in,...
Clean rooms, bedding and furniture are luxurious and the whole hotel has an elegant atmosphere. It was also good that the water pressure in the shower was strong and the bathtub was deep and large. It was helpful that there were many restaurants around the station.
What an amazing time with a great hotel it was very quaint and clean with the most comfortable bed I was up on floor 17 so I also had a great view of the area i would definitely recommended staying easy cab ride from everything and not a far walk from the transit
A small room but good hanging rail along one wall. Very comfy large bed and spacious shower plus fridge available. Hotel café and restaurant expensive but plenty of other choices for coffee and food all around. Handy for bus and underground. If you order a taxi do ask to be picked up in the direction of your destination....we had an...
Nice hotel in a busy part of Gangnam, just off the main strip many restaurants and shops to visit, room is comfortable although a little dated, personally I prefer showers walk in but that's a minor issue for the bath lovers among us, Wifi wasn't the best so my streaming tv service didn't perform as well as it had with...
