Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
We went to this museum because a friend recomended it. We would never expect that much! You will make a surprise face in every room... cars, steam machines, photography, old trains, art, boats and even more that you can imagine... A place to visit for sure if you go to Istanbul... yoj will not regret at all!

To get a little more specific than the headline of this review, the audio guide is a must if you haven’t read the book (I haven’t yet). I like quirky, unusual museums, so I loved this one. Paying 30 lira for admission (without the guide) might not be worth if you haven’t read the book, because it would be just...
This is somewhat distant from most other tourist spots, but well worth a visit. The permanent collections of weights and ceramics will only enthuse the specialist, but the exhibitions (I saw one on ambassador paintings) are interesting and very well organised. And it is a pleasant place to spend some time away from the bustling city, as it is cool...
They had a lot of sculptures but in general the gallery was small, i was expecting to have long visit to a museum but it took less than one hour to finish all. They had been relocating in the time i visited, maybe normally it's bigger? Art itself was beautiful eventhough there wasn't a lot.

Came here to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. Place is small and cozy, with great atmosphere! We both ordered pizza, the best we have had in turkey, and we are living here on our third year. The tiramisu and coconut ice cream was excellent and a perfect ending to a perfect night!
I had dinner at this wonderful spot in August 2018. The food was fantastic! They had a great selection of traditional Turkish dishes to choose from (vegetarian mostly with some meat dishes). The owner of the restaurant is super friendly and very interactive. I ordered a salad selection for starters, which went very well with the traditional Turkish alcohol Raki,...
For a few days we felt in Istanbul so alien and finally finding Babel cafe saved our trip! Great staff! Everybody speaks English and service is fun. Food was really delish and drinks finally helped us to get into holiday mood! I’m pretty sure we will spend here all of our evenings and will recommend this place to our friends!
For a long time I couldn't found a place with a real delicious Turkish coffee in Istanbul. When I asked one local guy he recommended this coffee shop to me. It's very nice authentic coffee house, which is located in a small street. Here I tried the most delicious coffee Turkish in Istanbul. They also have their coffee for sale....
The king panoramic suite was wonderful - perfect place to launch sight-seeing in Istanbul from. The guys at the front desk were super helpful and gave recommendations for sights & breakfast with no hesitation. Breakfast at the hotel was perfect to drop in before leaving for the day. Roof deck is a great bonus!
We were pleasantly surprised by our hotel room, which was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into making this hotel something special. Moreover, the manager of the hotel was extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay, especially in helping us book bus tickets online.
The room feels luxurious, the staff are good and the service is extraordinary. I had a meeting, I called one of my colleague. She was also impressed. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. It was a wonderful stay!
Perfect & safe location( near police station), just two minutes’ walk to Istiklal Avenue and 5 minutes to Taksim square and close to all the shops and mall you will need.
Staffs and management team (Mustafa & Okan) are very kind, friendly and very helpful.I really appreciate Mustafa for upgrading us from a junior suite to the Duplex Suite for...
