Take some of Asia’s biggest malls, hundreds of street-side vendors and a dozen of posh hotels and you’ll have Siam - Bangkok’s commercial district that will make any shopper’s heart beat faster. From cheap electronics and wholesale goods in MBK to designer handbags in Siam Paragon, you’re almost guaranteed to find what you’re looking for in one of Siam’s many malls. Take a break from the commercial craze and visit the beautiful Jim Thompson house or the state-of-the-art Bangkok Arts and Cultural Centre to recharge.
"Cool historic house with amazing art and artifacts"

Pros: This place is a treasure trove of beautiful art, artifacts and Thai decor. The story behind the house is interesting. The grounds are beautiful and the gift shop is a wow but you will pay $$$$ to bring home a unique silk art piece (I bought a silk pillow case that I love).
My cons:Another shoes off experience. I...
Close to the shopping district, it gives an amazing contrast of the peace and quiet provided by the temple with the high-rise buildings that surround it. It's very peaceful and we were the only tourists there when we visited. It has meditation halls and a beautiful main temple.
Rainy Sunday it was, that forced me to duck into this space for some shelter from the downpour outside on Bangkok. And I am glad it happened that way.
The building itself is architecturally appealing.. (think almost Guggenheim)
Multi use spaces interspersed with coffee shops.. Book shops.. More galleries.. Other event spaces.. Meeting rooms a library and some retro and...
This aquarium highbred is pretty good. It offers a large shark tank aquarium, penguin exhibits, sea turtles, lots of seahorses and many areas to view the exhibits from multiple angles. We spent 2 hours here admiring the serenity of the place and could have spent much more time.
We went with the 700 THB late (after 5 pm) admission to...
This is a nice activity for when you think you've had too much temples in Bangkok. It was a fun experience being around wax figures of your fave personalities. There were interactive games too, which added up to the fun.

My girlfriend and I had an enjoyable birthday dinner here at Uno mas. This is the first time we had spanish tapas/food and the taste are amazing. The view here and service at the restuarant were awesome. Both Marie and donna took care of us throughout the entire night. Thanks team for the enjoyable night.
We ate the soft shell crab curry, chicken green curry, and seasonal salad with crunchy vegetables and it was honestly the best Thai food I have ever had! Humble, innovative, affordable, enormous portions, great service and mind-blowing complex flavours!!! Wish I had eaten all my meals in Bangkok here!
Staff are very funny. And are pushing me to do this in order for me to get my drink. It’s worth it. Also, they’ve been wonderful overall. Breakfast is lovely. The lounge area on the 6th floor has floor-to-ceiling windows with great views of the neighbourhood.
The hotel is tucked away from the buzz from the city centre, offering a serene oasis of comfort and style for the guests. It’s within walking distance from the BTS station, 7-11, a handful of eateries as well as Siam Discovery shopping complex. The plush rooms are not only aesthetically appealing but also ooze the feeling of home. Besides, this...
"The only resort-style hotel in the heart of bkk! "

In the wake of the pandemic incident occurred in 2020, I had a chance to do my weekend “staycation” at Siam kempinski just a few weeks before Bangkok’s closedown. The price of the hotel had dropped significantly so it gave me a chance to book “duplex cabana” room type with a lovely price. I was greeted by “the lady in...
