Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
I’m so glad I made the effort to find this place and it exceeded my expectations. Such a beautiful wooden home with a happy, welcoming atmosphere. As so much of it has been kept and preserved you get a fascinating insight into the middle class life of a Thai family from the early part of 20th century and interesting to...

"Enjoy more with international buffet. Thai Street Food Highlights"
reviewed 2 days ago by AdisornPromrak
Weekdays with unusual meals today. Brand new ribbon cutting with international buffet is on the 3rd floor of Bangkok Marriott Surawong. If anyone is going to eat at Marriott Marquis Sukhumvit, atmosphere will be similar. The emphasis is on modern kitchens, but here is a Thai style in every corner of the hotel. The stylish design is a new experience...
I have been coming here since 2009 and was overwhelmed already... the level of quality of food, service as well as the view is unparalleled in Bangkok and the 2-Star michelin accreditation is probably on the low side.
I’ll defiantly return again though getting a table is getting harder and harder which isn’t a surprise considering what comes out of...
"Amazing food, great performance and gorgeous venue"

We has the best time in this lovely restaurant. Had a set menu with the top thai dished and they were all fantastic.
The venue is beautiful, decorated in the traditional style with very high standards and beautiful views to the river.
At 7:30pm the thai traditional dance performance starts, the dancers are from a performance school; they are great!...
Love this hotel, from the brand new feel, to its modern Thai atmosphere, its lovely pool and gym, the super M club but more importantly the staff. The best of Thai hospitality. Would highly recommend.
My only issue is the extra time to walk to office but the hotel itself makes up for that.
The Mandarin Oriental is a hotel with an amazing past that has probably done the best job of any heritage hotel of building an aura of romance around its history. There isn’t a corner of the hotel that doesn’t remind you of some important event that took place or great writer to stayed there. Somerset Maugham (after whom a suite...
This was my first time staying at this hotel. I had stayed in Bangkok once before but at a different hotel. I am an SPG Platinum member.
When we checked in, we asked about a room upgrade to a suite but were advised that we were upgraded to a corner room but not a suite. I had booked two...
Really nice rooms, HUGE shower and shower head (monsoon). Super comfy beds and lots of wardrobe space.
Food in the restaurant is amazing, enough variety to keep everyone happy.
Bar downstairs is fun too. Staff are friendly and attentive.
