"Well Worth A Visit"
reviewed 26 November 2019 by ash666
This is in Bangkok and I'm very surprised it is not already listed.
It is a good size complex across the road from Debsirindrawas Temple and another, nicer, entrance in Maitri Chit road, both not far from Wat Mangkon MRT station.
The buildings are very ornate and it should be better known.
This is more commonly known as Debsirindrawas Temple and is shown as such on Google maps.
Quite large but not as ornate as others in a lesser travelled part of Bangkok.
Double up with a visit to Wat Phalapphla Chai and it will be worth a visit.
Wat Khanikaaphon is just up Mangkon Street from Wat Mangkon Kamalawat in the Yaowarat (Chinatown) district of Bangkok.
It's a small private wat, but don't be put off by that. Many small wats have some very interesting architectural or decorative features.
But the real reason to visit this wat is because of its unique history.

Came here with Bangkok Food Tours Tuk Tuk tour. Excellent crispy fried noodle with runny egg on top. Soft on inside, and crispy on outside. High heat and charcoal help make this dish in back of shop. Use chili sauce on table to give it some extra flavor.
One of my favorite eatery for years. Still the best Moo Daeng ( BBQ pork Teocheow/Thai style ). It was quite difficult to get there before but now with a boom delivery service environment in Bangkok, we can enjoy this delicious food joint again. Their crispy pork is passable. The pork sausage is great. The egg is great. Their rice...
The burgers here are just fine. Have had better burgers other places in Bangkok, but the one I had was more than decent. Also tried the normal fries (they were out of the spicy fries).
I would not have minded a bit more happy attitude at those place. You buy, get the food, eat and leave. Not much smiles or...
One of my favourite restaurant and bakery since I was kid. Take away or eat in bakery and food. Local and international food like pasta, salad, all day breakfast, waffle and pancake. I like pancake here, so do the kids when I bring them there. Thai foods also delicious and spicy.
For bakery, I love lady finger and chicken sandwich....
We had a nice dinner here, service was very quick (next time I’ll remember to ask for the appetizers first, and the main course later). There was a good number of customers, mainly locals. The flavors were great, not too spicy.
