For Budapest, this island between the banks of the Danube represents a green oasis, especially during summer when its emerald spaces are much enjoyed by both locals and tourists. The gardens here are very picturesque; the flowers in full bloom give the landscape a variety of hues; the fountains add an air of freshness, making walks peaceful, joyful and romantic. A leisurely stroll will uncover a variety of sites, even the ruins of a medieval Franciscan church and convent are still visible.
Highlight of our third day in Budapest.
Fabulous waterworks with a large fountain
shooting jets of water some 30 feet into the
air and many smaller fountains forming
intricate patterns. Other jets fire spurts of water
with a cracking sound, which caused the pigeons

We wre here for 2-3 hours and didn't see everything because this is a huge park. Of courde there are some attractions, but I think it's a better place for inhabitants of Budapest than for tourists. We see here mini zoo, fountain (really nice), japan garden, and famous pools. Next time we come here only for pools and therms. Big...
Really pleased to see lots of rescued animals in good condition and with appropriate surroundings. While walking around Margaret island, it is worth stopping by if you like animals. Mostly rescued birds from Europe but a lot of variety and colour and it's free! You can leave a donation at the door, but seeing how well it is maintained, the...

Friendly, welcoming staff. Food was delicious and waiter brilliant at telling me what off the the menu I could eat as I have gluten free requirement and an onion allergy.
Food well presented. The only downside was, there was an excellent Hungarian quartet playing but at one stage they came around to each table asking for requests and clearly expecting...
This place has a very laid-back air, reminiscent of a Bavarian beer garden. On a hot summers evening it is a great place to get beers and burgers. It is not haute cuisine, and if you're in a rush you might find the bar staff a bit too relaxed (they are certainly not in a hurry). We enjoyed it so...
"Horrible service, mediocre food - and a dozen spiders in the bathroom"

Me and my travel partner decided to sit down at this restaurant as we were walking around the island without having eaten breakfast and I was beyond starving. It was early in the afternoon, so I went to the till to confirm that they were indeed serving food.
The woman grunted at me, telling me to ask someone else. This...
Stayed for three nights at the Danubius Grande Margitsziget whilst on a business trip. The hotel is situated on Margaret Island, next to its sister spa hotel.
The location is lovely and tranquil with no disturbance from noise.
My superior class room located on the first floor was fabulous, it was actually a suite, with sitting room and bedroom, both...
Housekeeping took some time in cleaning my room, one day they didn't even cleaned it.The food in the restaurant wasn't good for my taste. The location of the hotel was kind of remote from the main tourist attractions.
