Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
We didn't go inside, simply admired from the outside. We walked to the Parliament during the day and admired the architecture from the same side of the river and then at night walked across the bridge and admired the building all lit up.
We walked past St Stephens Basilica many times and every time we stopped to admire such a beautiful building. During the day and a glow at night. We even visited a skybar next door which had amazing views of St Stephens Basilica.
It's located in Pest between Széchenyi Chain Bridge and Erzsébet (Elisabeth) bridge. There are lots of elegant hotels and bars here. I like walking in this area every season, but of course it's better in good weather. Now we were here in the evening (in February) so it was a bit chilly, but we took lots of nice photos. No...
"Fine example of Art Nouveau architecture facing the Danube"

Gresham Palace is a fine example of Art Nouveau architecture and is now the Four Seasons Hotel. In 1880, the London-based Gresham Life Assurance Company decided to build its foreign headquarters on the site, commissioning local architects Zsigmond Quittner and Jozsef Vago to design the new building. The palace was completed in 1906 and named after the 16th-century English financier...

We had an amazing dinner and it's really a very nice and original experience. You can have the food quality of a Michelin star restaurant (the 2 owners actually worked in several before opening Zincenco) but in a relaxed atmosphere, with only 5 tables.
You can even get up and go look in the open kitchen how Zaida prepare all...

Great oasis on your way through
from the Parliament area towards the central area...very fresh, elegant and most of easy to use wine pouring system which allows you to "taste" the wines of your choice, a must visit after seeing the Parliament building 🍷👍🥰 very service friendly staff.
Best service, best pricing, best portions, best ingredients, and amazing flavors. If you are looking for a quality dining experience, comme Chez soi is the place to go!!
We are thinking of our favorite downtown gem at this crazy time during the global pandemic. We hope the family who owns this restaurant is well and we cannot wait for the...

My wife and myself ate here after reading some other reviews, the place is a lot smaller than I thought but the waitress managed to find us a table .
There was a hen party in as well and the poor waitress was rushed off her feet but still managed to attend to us and keep us supplied in drinks...
I went to Mazi a week ago, i was in holiday with a friend of mine, we read the menu and so we decided to come in, very welcoming and kind staff, excellent cuisine, absolutely to try again...I highly recommended it!!!
We had an amazing stay at the Aria Hotel. Facilities, food, kind service, location- the best. The friendliness of their staff and most especially the hospitality of the manager make you feel extra special.
Well what can I say! From the moment we arrived at the hotel, the beautiful reception area and very friendly and professional Reception team and to the man who took our case to the room. A first class hotel with a first class team. We had one of the suites well worth paying that Little bit extra for a bit...
One of the most professionally run hotels we've ever stayed at. Clean, accommodating, artful decor, very helpful employees, and it couldn't be in a better location. While the rooms were small, they were smartly furnished. But who wanted to stay in your room when the breakfast room, bar and gathering spaces were so inviting. The breakfasts offered an incredible variety...
We stayed at the Hotel Memories Old Town for 2 nights in December. We absolutely loved it there and would recommend it 100 times over (as well as return ourselves!). It was beautifully charming, cozy, impeccably clean, and the breakfast was delicious. It's also perfectly located for visiting the Christmas markets and all other downtown attractions. We quite literally could...
Our second stay at one of our favourite hotels, our room was amazing with a fantastic view across the rooftops of Pest. We are always bowled over by the brilliant staff, who cant do enough to make your stay the best. When we got to our room, we had been gifted some sparkling wine, fruit and chocolate, a lovely surprise....
