St. Kilda is an iconic beachside suburb and one of the most culturally and economically diverse of Melbourne’s neighbourhoods. It is a traditional haven for musicians, artists and writers, drawn to the European ambience and fresh ocean breezes. At night, it can have an edgier side, but by day, it features a relaxed vibe – the market stalls, boutiques and outdoor bars display St. Kilda’s easygoing attitude. Ocean winds blow from Port Phillip Bay and waves lap onto its long and mostly deserted beaches. Rides whir at the world’s oldest operational Luna Park. On a lazy weekend morning, bikers cruise along Acland Street, showing off their motorcycles. But the late morning crowds are too busy at brunch to notice. St. Kilda is a perfect place to relax after a night out with friends.
Visited on a hot February day. It was amazing. It was was busy because of the heat but still lovely.
Very clean with no rubbish and grassed areas around. Close walk to shops, restaurants and Luna park.
Great place for all ages. My husband and children had a great time.
We love walking through this garden, with the different vegies, and especially the clever sculptures and ornamental artworks. Many are fascinating to see, with some clever ideas for what would otherwise be junk.
We visit it every time we are in St. KIlda
We have been inside here years ago, however this time on our visit we took part in admiring this historic amusement park.
This is in a great location on the foreshore.
We would recommend visiting this site even if its to take some great photos in front of Mr Moon.
Please note this is a very popular tourist attraction, don’t...
Plenty of space in these gardens to play some sport or just chill. There’s some public BBQ’s at one end that we’re very popular on the day we visited. Took a fair while for us to find a spot to cook our food.
The park runs along the beach road so it’s not far to go if you want to...

"All round winner"

Service was exemplary - one of those places where you leave thinking how lovely the staff were. That aside, incredible cocktails, inventive and ridiculously tasty tapas dishes and an overall brilliant ambience. An all round winner and very highly recommended. Tip: ask the staff for advice on cocktail suggestions. 👍🏼
On our first trip to Melbourne, friends took us to this high end restaurant located in St. Kilda--ocean front views. The view alone is worth the trip, but the food and service are still spectacular! It is fine dining, so expect to spend money, but everthing about this restaurant, location and view are worth every penny!
We were recommended this restaurant by friends who live in Melbourne and set off on the tram from central Melbourne to St Kilda. Easy to find the restaurant and staff quickly advised us how the blackboard menus worked. An endless list of fish (some we had never heard of) in varying sizes and prices. Also a Claypots menu. We were...
Definitely the healthiest dining option on St Kilda, busy place, located in a vibrant corner enlightened with natural sunlight, Sister of Soul offers a dynamic and regenevating atmosphere. Female youngsters are taking care of the service, and despite the lack of experience and care, the job remains done. Elegant crowd, multiple vegan options available, very tasty and international food such...
