Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs that does not have big waves, making it an excellent family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity footballers! A little further south is Wylie’s Baths, offering sweeping 180 degree views over the Pacific Ocean, and it is perfect for a swim or a few laps. Plenty of dining choices surround the beach, including the famous fish and chips.

You will pass by here on the coastal walk. Or maybe sit under a tree looking for shade when the sun is at its zenith.
Either way, the reserve is not an attraction, though it could be made into one with some outdoor gym equipment ala Clovelly.
Received a voucher for my birthday to do the open water course. The pro dive team were fun and welcoming and the course was a fantastic well organised experience. Great equipment and transport provided and excellent group training catering to everyones needs. Already planning and looking forward to my next dive!

This historical rockpool is strickly for women and children. It is a one and only. Women often express themselves by going semi or completely naked here. The rock pool is realy lovely and carved out of the sandstone rocks. It is set higer than the neigbouring pools at Coogee beach and Wylies so somewhat less impacted by the waves on...
Came in for breakfast with a friend and were greeted by an extremely welcoming and friendly gentleman, who was very accommodating to my pickiness! We had the x74 breakfast and the veggie breakfast (with salmon), and it was divine - one of the best cooked breakfast’s I’ve ever had! Not only is the food delicious, but the atmosphere in the...
The steak was absolutely divine and cooked exactly as requested - medium rare. The Chicken Liver Parfait also highly recommended and all this topped off with a lovely Red and amazing French Table Service.
We had a delicious meal for 2 bear. Super yummy but be careful of the chilli 🌶 The service was great, food choices good and vegan options available which we always need! Good selection of wine by the glass. Great ambiance starting with the quirky decor. Definitely recommend a visit.
Not usually a place we’d go to but the food was lovely. Staff really friendly and helpful explaining how it works. Flip yea for more food and no when full up!
We had various chicken pieces along with beef. The halloumi was fantastic and had different salads and even grilled pineapple!
They constantly bring food to the table!
Stayed here for 2 nights with my daughter. We found the front desk staff to be really helpful and friendly. Our room was modern, clean and had adequate kitchen facilities.
The beds were comfortable, the shower was good, both things which are pretty important to me!
Location, as everyone says, is fantastic! Beach, shops, restaurants, bus stops all within a...
Stayed here for 8 nights over a 2 week period whilst visiting family nearby.
The location of the hotel overlooking Coogee beach is excellent, the breakfast very good (especially the eggs benedict which I ordered twice) and the staff are always happy to oblige.
Travelling into Sydney by bus is approximately 30 minutes and buses are very regular.
Coogee Beach is a wonderful place. The beach, right across the street from the Dive Hotel, is beautiful and features a nice swimming pool. The Coogee to Bondi path is magnificent. Strongly recommend eating at Sugarcane Restaurant, which is very close to the Dive.
The rooms at the Dive are unremarkable. However, the common area (where you'll enjoy breakfast) is...
Had 2 bed 2 bath suite. All rooms were large and clean and reasonably quiet. This hotel is so close to everything Coogee has to offer. Only thing was the bed base was on its last legs and squeaked with every movement. I believe rooms are undergoing renovations and the bed should be updated too. Not our first visit, not...
Whilst the pub itself is nothing out of the ordinary the vibe on a weekend night is great. Lots of locals about having drinks and watching sport. Can get a bit aggressive so just watch yourself, otherwise enjoy the vibe
