The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to Dj’s. Families can visit the Chinese Gardens of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Sydney Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
Certainly didn’t expect it to be as large as it was, or appears to be! It was so calm and beautiful, around every corner found something new. Spent a few hours there culminating in a lovely pot of tea. Took loads of photos!
Visited this museum with friends. Visit this only if u have not visited this museum in London.
We found this to be a but smaller than that one, plus the wax statues were sort of crammed. And the wax statues were less in number.. many of the statues which u would usually find in the main museum we're not here....
While this is not the best aquarium I have been to, it is a very nice place to get to see local marine life - dugongs (like manatees in US), penguins, sharks, coral, etc. There is a cute little 2 minute boat ride for the penguins which the little kids looked to be living. This site makes a great pairing...
The zoo and aquarium make a nice pairing to do during a morning or afternoon. It is great to see a specifically Australian set of animals as opposed to standard zoos with animals from all over the world. The Koala encounter was great - don’t expect to hold or touch them as first off they are usually sleeping and second...
I liked the Pyrmont Bridge. It is dedicated for walkers and bikers. We had some great views, a bonus.
It connects both sides of the Darling harbor. At the end we either chose the stairs or an escalator.
I enjoyed my time here. It was so peaceful and I had my walk.
Worthwhile to try!
Took my daughter to eat escargot, as she’s been on about it. They surely delivered it was fantastic.
Out of 10- 10 being fantastic
Chilli & Honey Baguette - 10
Escargot- herb & garlic butter - 9
Duck with spinach & berry sauce - 8
Grilled Seafood Plate - 7
Bouillabaisse - 6 (I’ve had a better one in NZ)...
We dined here last Friday night without a booking for 3 people. Restaurant was busy so we did not get a table on balcony, but it was still great. We shared two meals and rice between 2 people and it was enough food. There is a great selection on the menu and the wine list is very extensive, price was...

"Good food, good service - long wait"
reviewed 2 weeks ago by Ash C
On arrival the restaurant was full and we were told we would have an hour wait by an unapologetic young concierge. We waited around out the front for 45 minutes and then were called in to a free table.
The noise inside was loud but the fast service and good food made for an enjoyable experience.
The steak was cooked...

The Adina Appartment Hotel on Darling Harbour is in a great central location just 50 metres from the waterfront and situated near Wild Life Sydney Zoo. The hotel is also located by King Street which takes you into the heart of the city. There are many restaurants on Darling Harbour and Barangaroo Wharf. We had booked a Premier Grand Studio...
