The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to Dj’s. Families can visit the Chinese Gardens of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Sydney Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
WildLife Sydney Zoo is located at heart of Darling Harbor is a fun place to be. An Indoor zoo with animals, reptiles, insects, this place will make you explore all of them in one go.
Two of main attraction areas - The Kangaroos & The Koala bear. Fun to be with these animals. My first real life encounter with Koala...
Pyrmont bridge the landmark at Darling Harbor area in Sydney. Day 4 of our Sydney tour we visited this place and took a stoll at Pyrmont bridge. Wide pedestrian walk-through with only bicycles and skateboard people zapping through. This gives a spectacular view of skyscrapers and waterfront.
People walking all around this place is always hustling n bustling and truly...
The aquarium is very interesting. The online prices are significantly lower, which wasn’t clear from the website, so we ended up paying more than we expected to get in.
The dugong and sharks were amazing and there were plenty of helpful and knowledgeable staff around to answer questions.
A great park central to theCBD. The weekend day we went it was packed (and it wasn’t even holidays or warm weather) which made it a bit tricky to supervise kids.
The park has lots to entertain all ages of kids, water play, slides, climbing and zip line. Cafes in close proximity for feeding the hungry kiddos.
Have to say this was the highlight of our Sydney weekend. Urban Stone, What an awesome band. Rocked the boat that's for sure. The crew and bar staff were so friendly and seemed to enjoy the night just as much as we did. I went with my husband and didn't know anyone else on the boat, but by the time...
I loved this restaurant. The staff were excellent and could not have been more helpful, courteous and friendly, the view onto the harbour was fabulous, and the food was wonderful. One of the best aubergine dishes I’ve ever tasted! Book in advance even for lunch as it was quite busy. I’ll definitely be back!
We went there last night with a groupon voucher. The food was great, the service was also great. However the normal price without groupon voucher for three courses is 62$, it's totally over priced.
I recommend this place with a voucher or avoid this place if you don't have a voucher because it's to expensive for the quality/price.
Everything about this hotel is amazing.. the views, the room, amenities, the staff, location. Breakfast was amazing with so much to choose from.. even "real coffee". Staff were so accommodating and extremely helpful right from check-in to check-out. Cannot fault a thing!
Excellent apartement, clean and comfortable, with washingmaschine and nice kitchen. excellent staff, very helpful, in reception. Restaurants just round the corner in Darling Harbour. Easy and close access to many sightseeing, whalewatching, Aquarium and much more! 10min walk to closest metro, that can take you anywhere! Will for sure stay here again!
I recently attended a one day conference at the Hyatt and was very impressed with the catering. As an ex chef I know how hard it can be to create interesting menus that cater to everyone. The kitchen at the Hyatt excelled themselves. Hats off to the floor staff too, they were efficient, extremely helpful and accomodating. With so many...
