A Bohemian inner-west suburb known for its alternative music scene, Newtown is a diverse community offering a multitude of restaurants, art galleries, performance spaces, thrift stores and bars. Home of some of the best live music venues in the city, shows can be found everywhere from the official theatres to the neighbourhood pubs. From its humble beginnings as a neighbourhood primarily known for its many Thai restaurants, Newtown has evolved into a foodie's paradise with a delightful array of highly innovative cuisines from around the world. It is still possible to eat on a budget, but if you crave a more sophisticated menu, Newtown will not disappoint.
This cemetery is not original and was recreated when the park next was done. All the graves were moved to the current location and you can realise that all the graves moved were pre 1900.
A favourite of the locals that you will find reading or walking the dogs surely weird and fun.
Wandering up the Rocks you may come across a gap between shopfronts that goes through the a multistoried park at the back of historic shop front. Filled with outdoor furniture its a magic quiet refuge in busy Sydney
This place was really neat and wonderful, we have a habit to find small galleries or workshops for the local artists. This was not that hidden, it was right on the King Street. You must bring your friends here if they come to Sydney. I swear you wouldn’t find any ice cream shop better than this one in Sydney. If there is, you should inbox me.

Decorating the table with balloons, bringing out free dessert with candles and giving a beautiful hand made ceramic mug as a take home gift! Plus a whole vegetarian/vegan page in the menu made everyone happy. Definitely will be coming back...

Had a lovely catch up dinner here with a friend and could not have asked for a more delicious selection of meals! Everything we had, from the cocktails, entree, mains and dessert were absolutely delicious!
We were sat on high tables but they were quite comfortable.
Highly recommend EVERYTHING!
Stayed there overnight with my wife and 3 year old boy. We found it great being so close to the cultural hub of Newtown with a short hop onto the train if required to get you where you need to go.
The room was modern and tidy, it had a little kitchenette which was great. The bathroom was compact but...
